Something to consider is continuity moving through the park. I think it makes sense to take out Toon Lagoon, Marvel Island, and Seuss Landing, leaving Lost Continent as is... I think we move from more of an urban area into more natural environments (Lost Continent, Jurassic park) the deeper into the park we get. Otherwise, it will be a little disjointed. Maybe the Seuss becomes Bond, Marvel becomes DC, filling the urban void, and then we find more of a child friendly game (Zelda works imo, but it needs to be pushed as kid friendly), that eases the transition into naturalism

100%. Universal as a whole needs more kids things, not less. A Dreamworks/ illumination/ other kids-based thing like that is needed for sure
So I just had an idea that may be dumb, not really sure... when has there really been board games represented in theme parks? I’m thinking stuff like Candy Land, Battleship, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Sorry... maybe something like Monopoly? But it’s centered around games that people played as kids fifteen plus years ago that are still being played now

I’m super intrigued, but it’s pretty high concept. I’m picturing a bunch of fully interactive attractions that evoke different board games

Also Clue murder mystery restaurant....

Wait. This is set years in the future. Epic Universe is now super popular and IOA falling apart. That’s a while from now.

What if we just make our own video game IP? Say it popped up in 2021 and took the world by storm a la Minecraft and Fortnite. Then we get to control everything about the IP to make sure it fits Universal.

Now that is some massive world building... interesting, but seems almost excessive if that makes sense?

I think some of it could be more interactive... battleship and candy land stand out as two that wouldn’t necessarily need to be interactive though
Oh actually, speaking of Battleship, there used to be a super cool game in Wildwood, NJ where you could either drive an enclosed boat in a pool or shoot at them with foam balls from the pier. Something like that could be super cool.

Great idea, but I think that it’s way too much. Interesting concept though.

I think something like that also fits the kiddy idea better... candy land could be a straight dark ride... something like sorry or Jenga could maybe be more interactive

Yeah I was hoping that we could get away with it with video games, but you’re probably right.
Someone did suggest Animal Crossing earlier which could kill two birds with one stone, but I don't think that Animal Crossing would be the easiest IP to base rides around.

Maybe some type of Kapp'n boatride? Dodo Airport Dumbo clone?

So Hasbro is coming to one of my local amusement parks (who knows when with current stuff going on) but it means Hasbro in parks isn’t totally impossible

Please could you imagine a real gumdrop forest?

I would worry about attractions as well. Pokemon would lend itself super well to kids rides, but Animal Crossing would be super difficult to work with.

I think a lot of it could be super immersive... Hasbro games are iconic for a reason... say Universal gets the rights to use Hasbro, and you can use all the games that have been mentioned, not to mention games like Chutes and Ladders and Operation
