Reading through, looks like we are off to a great start!!

I'll happily be on any team! I know VERY little about any of them lol.

I like to think I'm a solid player. I can write, I can map, I can video, I can (decent) art, I can do weird stuff. I'm not an expert in any one area or the best or anything. But I like to think that I'm a pretty solid all around player. Put me on any team. I'll hop in when I can. Then Sunday night/Monday morning I'll go full force whatever is needed.

I'm open to working on any of the 4 parks. Hershey is the only one I remotely know anything about from a trip as a kid, but not enough to make any difference if I work on it or another.

Biggest difference in this challenge compared to last year is the scenario. We did 4 parks then too, but Disney was taking them over so it gave a good sense of direction from the start. Thunk the idea of marketing these together is a good one in some shape or fashion.

OK, everyone, you have some homework being assigned right now. I just wrote a short story that we can use for a way to unite all four of our parks into one narrative, and actually win all eight parks at the same time. It's seven pages, and should be a fast read. This is not necessarily the only way forward but it a beginning.

I just wrote this and didn't proofread it, so if something doesn't make sense tell me!

First of all, did you get my request about spearheading the presentation portion of this? and two, we need people interested or willing to work on Holiday World and Silver Dollar City, both amazing parks. Take your pick!

This is fantastic - so good that we should try and incorporate it into the project

Since it's already written -- we could do something different, and submit this to the reviewers a few days in advance on the main thread. Whet their appetite for what is to come - and also so they aren't reading this on top of the project itself.

Spaced repetition so to speak - introduce it early then put on a show come project time!

So I decided (to save me time also) that for the zoo, instead of suffering the same fate as the Marine Life Institute did (where it was too wordy) instead I’m going to record it after building it in Zoo Tycoon 2!

Edit: I can do either video or pictures, depending how we want to do our presentation

I know the problem- I get wordy, too! I've asked @Disney Dad 3000 to spearhead the production part of the challenge, and, well, so far he hasn't said "no." Right now @spacemt354 and @OutboundFlight are on the HersheyPark Team, so you might want to reach out to them for opinion. I'm sure whatever will be phenomenal!

This is great. That Hindley dude sounds like a real piece if work.

I'm open to either if anyone else has a preference.

My only hesitancy with spearheading the presentation is I know the last few days of this round will be a little busy winding down things around here to head out of town. Just would hate not to be able to coordinate all of that. I'll be here, but not sure if that will be 100% of me.

Story is a great way to tie these parks together. Really plays into the story of SA.
My initial wild thought is to go all out with the story and just continue it for the presentation. Last year we did Google slides, which was nice and organized, but even with all of the great work that went into them, it was still 4 separate presentations. We'd have to go against the grain a bit for a typical presentation, and would require a heavy dose of artwork, less writing, but we could really embrace the SA storyline and do the park updates in graphic comic form with this story. Would make it cohesive and a different type of read then poring through a lot of data, and attraction details and more about showingg/talking about making these parks destinations

I'll talk more later. Gotta run, but you're on Silver Dollar City. Like your ideas!

Everyone should create private brainstorming chats of their groups AND @James G. . In the event we lose, we want his cursed courtroom nominees to be an informed decision.
If you’re doing private threads, I would recommend you invite some of the Guest Reviewers (also Tiki), since they’re the ones passing judgment on this round. Invite the ones who most actively post reviews.

Just so I don't wonder, since I am garbage with money and numbers and counting, how big is that 250 million dollars, compared to say a Disneyland budget?
Research suggests that Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure cost $200 million, and Diagon Alley cost $250. Both would fit this challenge’s parameters.

For contrast, Dollywood’s upcoming all-new Wildwood Grove land, their most expensive addition in history, is budgeted at $37 million. Disney can spend that to make a flat ride!

At Disney that would be 1 E ticket (maybe). For these parks though it's a ton of cash. They don't have nearly the theming in most cases and since we aren't necessarily Disneyfying them, will go a long way. Time traveler at silver dollar opened in 2018 and was 26million

I'm going to be out for a few hours and still need to hear from a few Heroes, but as of right now here are the teams for their respective parks:
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk- @NateD1226 @TwilightZone
HersheyPark- @spacemt354 @PerGronStudio @OutboundFlight
Holiday World @Evilgidgit @James G.
Silver Dollar City @Pi on my Cake @Disney Dad 3000

If your name isn't on this list I haven't heard from you, or in @FireMountain 's case I can't get his preference doc to open. talk to me, Heroes!
To this list add: Holiday World @Brer Oswald
Silver Dollar City @DisneyManOne
