I can do the DCA idea.

So how about we break tasks into:

Overview and Expansion Bridges = Mickeynerd
DL Ghosts = Sharon and Susan
DCA Prehistory = Outbound
Sounds like a plan! I can also focus on some smaller aspects of the two areas like environment or help with the major rides.

Also, @TheOriginalTiki , @JokersWild , I don't think it was mentioned, so are we only doing the park expansions and not the extra Downtown Disney/DL Hotel part of Disneyland Forward? Just want to clarify so that if we are doing those I can focus on those too.

What are your ideas for the bridge across DL / DCA? The judges mentioned the area would become a major chokepoint realistically, and we need to find a way to counteract this.

I'd suggest making two bridges, that way we distribute the traffic in a looping direction. However, doubling the bridge count would be a major investment and I'm not sure how realistic it is for the City of Anaheim.

We could have second/third (not counting the Monorail in DL) entrance for Disneyland and DCA at DTD which I believe the concept art implies.

I've been thinking about it, and my original thought was a single large tunnel for each expansion. I need to think about it some more...

One last-minute idea before you start writing:

Since the most logical place for a bridge is out of Critter Country, maybe the expansion could be an elaboration of the Haunted Town scene from DLP's Phantom Manor? It would be both spooky and fit with the rustic feel of Critter Country.

And maybe you could have a bridge that feels like one of those old rustic covered bridges that you might see in New England like this:

What’s your idea for DCA Mick?
I'm thinking of some sort of cave that'll "transport" guests back in time. No sci-fi stuff.

Since the connection will be out of Paradise Pier (next to Goofy's Sky School), I'm thinking that some geological occurrence opened a hole in the earth that'll be the cave entrance. I'm still thinking of what the inside will look like, but that's the vanilla concept so far!

Ha ha yeah I guess after last round we should stay away from sci fi. Still plenty of potential with the idea.

First mini land done!
Spirit’s Hollow
Located somewhere in the upper eastern seaboard of the United States, far away from any of the major cities, this village has a population of less than 350. The town has seen better days with cobwebs, broken windows, and even some buildings looking like they’ll fall over any minute all being omnipotent presences. But as the sun sets, the presence of ghosts and other terrifying creatures seem to materialize and bring the former colonial village to life, despite what it’s living inhabitants may say. It especially rings true in the forest where it’s rumored witches abound bringing to life the Headless Horseman or the caretakers of Halloween.

Most guests will enter the area through Spirit’s Hollow main village area, a collection of cobblestone and wood mostly built in the late 17th Century that as mentioned earlier is derelict. Guests can check out the graveyard to pay their respects to former inhabitants of the village or visit another nearby village haunted by a fearsome horseman. During the night ghosts, goblins, and vampires all roam around Spirit’s Hollow to have fun with those of the physical realm. Guests can also expect to see a fun musical show starring some celebrities monsters located within the vicinity of the graveyard.

The forest is both tranquil and mysterious with there being signs of fog no matter the time of day. Guests can jump into the world of Halloween at the Halloween Town Celebration along with meeting Jack Skellington, Sally, and Halloween Town’s Mayor located within the forest.

The Gilded Goblin
The Witch’s Cauldron

Chase of the Headless Horseman
Guests enter through the decayed ruins of the city’s former town hall. The interior of the building is reminiscent of a haunted house of old while almost having the layout of a maze. Artistic depictions of Ichabod and the Headless Horsemen are scattered throughout until guests make it into a library where it dissolves into darkness and becomes the forest of Sleepy Hollow.

After boarding Fantasyland style vehicles that are reminiscent of a carriage that you might see attached to a horse in the 18th century they are off! The vehicles pass Brom Bone’s house where a great party lights up the house into the forest in the blackness of night. Then around the corner, it’s the Headless Horseman! The vehicles bolt in the opposite direction as everything in the forest (even the trees) seem to be trying to get them.

No luck, there he is again this time swinging his sword! Finally one last bolt into the village where everyone in Sleepy Hollow is frightened and onto the bridge where the Headless Horse is nowhere to be seen until the vehicles enter the bridge and it’s seen that he with his fiery pumpkin causing the entire bridge to be inflamed. Going through a crash door with the face of a pumpkin there appears the Headless Horseman a few feet above guests cackling. Guests make it back to the boarding station.

Halloween Town Celebration
On the outskirts of Spirit’s Hollow is a forest which houses the entryway to many holidays including Halloween appropriately enough. This door is the entryway to a brand new family roller coaster ride through the city of Halloween Town! After going through the queue just on the outskirts of town where it just becomes grimmer and grimmer, guests board their coffin styled trains.

“This is Halloween” starts playing in full force as the vehicles make it past the Halloween Town gate after the initial lift hill. Twisting and turning through the graveyard as ghosts come out from their graves soon guests go into the town where they will encounter the ghastly residents who are ready to show off what makes them monstrously different from the rest. Then up a lift hill the vehicles go where Jack Skellington rises from a well after making it to the top he scares guests causing the vehicles to quickly race through Halloween Town’s spiral hills (which includes one inversion before making it back to the unloading station.

Awesome! Everything looks great here.

I'm still working on the bridges. They'll be done tomorrow (or possibly really late tonight). Could you make some artwork for your ideas? It's not necessary, but it would go a long way in our presentation!
