PHASE 1
DC Super City Celebration

1525406303827.png

Welcome to the DC Super City! A special celebration dedicated to the mighty heroes of the DC Universe is being hosted in Superman's own home city of Metropolis. Of course, where there are heroes, villains won't be far behind. Updated theming will be added to the current DC area of the park to tie them all into the same story of Metropolis's celebration and to create a more immersive environment. The visuals of the land will be stylistic in its approach to better emulate the style of comics. Specifically based on the DC Animated Universe of the 90s and 2000s. This will have the added benefit of being cheaper to build than a realistic city while also giving it a great, distinct, visual style. The DC area will also expand to take over the current Dolphin Discovery Classrooms, part of the picnic area, and Ocean Discovery Pool.

Wonder Woman: Lasso of Truth – The ride itself will remain mostly the same. A new facade of the Metropolis Museum of History will be added and the queue will teach guests of Wonder Woman's story from the perspective of a wing of the museum on myths.

Superman: Ultimate Flight - The ride itself will again remain the same, but a new facade/queue of the Daily Planet will be added.

The Joker: Sinister Celebration - The ride itself will again remain the same, but a new facade/queue of a fair ground will be added. The concept is that a fair was set up for the Super City Celebration, but Joker has taken it over adding his own style to the place (such as graffiti from the clown prince of crime on portraits of famous heroes in the queue).

Harley Quinn: Crazy Coaster - The recently opened ride will have a facade added of Metropolis City Hall with the new ride plot being her attacking the mayor.

The Penguin: Tsunami Soaker - The attraction stays the same with the added facade of being at Metropolis Harbor

Teen Titans: GO!-Karts - The current Go Karts will remain an added up-charge experience, but will be enhanced with theming to Teen Titans with the entrance being the iconic T shaped Titan Tower.

Batman: Dark Knight Chase - This brand new attraction will take over the footprint of the Dolphin classrooms and half of the picnic area. Rock work will be added to blend it to the upcoming Looney Tunes Canyon area with the entrance to the attraction being a cavern leading into the Batcave queue. A forced perspective miniature Wayne Manor sits on top of the rock work. The attraction it self is... TBD

The Flash: Speed Force - The classic V2 launch coaster will be rethemed to the fastest man alive. Guests will enter S.T.A.R. Labs to join the Flash for a high speed dash to harness the power of the speed force.

Is it weird if Team Magic Mountain is doing a new E-ticket coaster also called Flashpoint? Another name could be Flash: Speed Force.

PHASE 1 INTRO

With the recetn acquisition of Six Flags by Disney, steps to bring the current Six Flags parks up to Disney standards have begun to be taken. In Discovery Kingdom, phase one is primarily fixing up what is currently there and enhancing the theming and storytelling. Also, it will prepare the park for future, larger scale additions. Besides the things mentioned in more detail below, nearly every corner of the park will receive some general refreshes and new coats of paint. The Looney Tunes Seaport will be expanded to include Seaside Junction. The DC land will be expanded. The area around Medusa will be given a face lift. Lastly, the animal exhibits will receive needed updates to make them even more incredible.

@Pionmycake here's what I've got so far for the RR ride. Need to throw in some acme set pieces and few more landscape details.
Doesn't have to match the ride description but hopefully gives some visual reference. Have it looping around that mountain structure, there's the obligatory random over pass top right, big banked turn on the rocks bot tom left and overhangs/tunnels.

Had a few minutes and went ahead and popped all of your stuff onto the slides Pi. Didn't do a full read through, but figured with it all there we can read it as a whole and add/subtract from each phase as necessary to whittle it down.

Yesterday and today were and are going to be very busy for me, but tomorrow I've got pretty much nothing going on (outside of DKC: Tropical Freeze ;) ) so I'll be able to write up anything and everything that needs to get done. I think we should make a goal that all the written parts of the project get completed tomorrow at the latest so we can spend the final day just piecing stuff together. Each of the first four projects I was involved in the thing that killed the team in the end was turning stuff in last minute and having the finished project feel rushed as a result. The cool thing about this project is that every head of their park is incredibly passionate about it for the most part, so the competitive edge this round has literally never been higher.

You're missing the updates to the DC area which I would say would lean on the 50 million side.

So I had more things come up then I realized and my already busy day is even busier and I'm already about 3 hours later getting on the road then I planned. I am not going to be able to do as much as I had hoped today or hope to do last night for this project I am sorry.

Now that I'm on the highway I'm going to voice to text my notes for the Roadrunner Rocket roller coaster or Coyote Canyon or whatever the name actually was going to be so hopefully it will make it easy on someone being able to cast had at that and had some details so hopefully that something and I can hopefully be able to help with editing the Discovery Kingdom project tomorrow.

Roadrunner rocket

So, this Costa will use the same ride system as the soon opening slinkey Thug Dash in Hollywood Studios. It will be a family-friendly Dash coaster though the speed from Slinky Dog will be increased slightly to make it more of a thrilling experience along the lines of Thunder Mountain or Space Mountain.

The cars will be decorated to look like a bright red rocket missile thing that the coyote with usually ride on with the idea of the attraction being that we got caught up in one of the coyotes crazy scheme to catch the roadrunner

The queue is full of wooden Acme crates for different products the Roadrunner has perfect purchased that all full of Easter eggs and references to Classic shorts

The ride will start with weaving through the Canyons of the cartoon the desert area with Contraptions of the coyote all set up making it seem as if you are helping set a trap for the roadrunner.

There are no lift Hills I can't remember if I mentioned this specifically earlier but this is a lunk Costa so when it's time to start really moving it is like you are being blown by Dynamite or the missile your phone is being lit too long as you forward something I would feel very much in line with a Coyote and Roadrunner shorts.

After about halfway through, the Riders will come to a wool that the coyote has painted to look like an ox way with the intention of the Roadrunner slamming into it full force as a trap you see a figure of the coyote nearby with the paint buckets near him hiding behind the rock giggling to himself then a projection shows the Roadrunner walking up running towards it looking at the painted wall and then with a classic Looney Tunes disregard for logic and reason the Road Runner runs into the painted tunnel as if it was real so the coyote decides he's going to give that a try to the figured that's below the Rocks so that way our protection of him can run out the wall but then he just slammed into a heads first (while this is all going on the track was switching behind you). after the coyote hits the wall you start going backwards.

The second half of the ride after starting to go backwards is all of the coyotes carefully laid traps backfiring on him causing the this half of the ride to be more extreme and curvy and crazy you go backwards until you enter a room full of dynamite and then you hear it blow up behind you long can you forward again all types of crazy things like that as all kinds of different of the coyote traps to catch the road runners from different classic shorts and new ones in the spirit of the classic shorts surround the area.

Hopefully, enough of this was not gibberish that this will be able to help you guys and that someone would just have to edit this into something that makes more sense.

Again, I'm really sorry about this hopefully you guys able to get this together without Fest hugging you too much I'll try and do a bit extra next rounds to make up for it.

Project intro
enhance

Located just a short drive away from San Francisco in the Bay Area district of Northern California, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (formerly Marine World) is a park rich with local history and unique charm featuring one of the best assortment of coasters, thrill rides, family attractions, and animal exhibits and shows. The park has made a name for itself for how well it integrates all the different elements, from coasters to critters, into one cohesive park experience. With the DC area of the park currently filling up with the imminent opening of Harley Quinn's Chaos Coaster, Disney has eyed the park for expansion in their latest acquisition of Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks in addition to Six Flags Magic Mountain, King's Dominion, and Carrowwinds. Discovery Kingdom promises to be the most family-centric of the four coaster parks currently being overhauled. On the docket is a large scale family coaster themed to the Roadrunner shorts, the world's first Rocky Mountain Construction T-Rex coaster, a newly revamped dinosaur area, and Disney touches added throughout the park.

Looney Tunes Seaport Expansion
Looney_Tunes_Seaport.jpg

The walkway between the park's front entrance hub and the DC area will be converted over to encompass the Looney Tunes Seaport theme in a new area called "Looney Tunes Canyon" which will feature a rethemed "Foghorn Falls" as well as "Coyote Canyon", a tentpole addition to the park's Disney expansion plans. To make way for Looney Tunes Canyon, the park's Ocean Discovery animal exhibits will be moved to the current Whistlestop Express area located in the back of the Seaport and the park's Sea Lion stadium will be gutted to make way for the coaster's extensive show building. Most of the Seaport attractions will stay in tact with new paint and landscaping to spruce up the surrounding area. Returning Seaport attractions include...

Elmer's Weather Balloons (Elevated spinning ride similar to Flick's Flyers)
Bugs' Buccaneers (Mini swinging ship)
Sylvester and Tweety's Pounce and Bounce (A froghopper mini drop ride)
Peppe Le Pew's Rafts of Romance (Mini spinning teacups)
Taz Typhoon (Mini swing ride)
Daffy's Deep Sea Divers (rotating submarine flat ride)
Yosemite Sam's Flight School (Dumbo clone with an airplane theme)
What's Up, Rock? (Outdoor musical review show starring costumed Looney Tunes characters)

The carousel and mini train ride will be scrapped to make way for additional theme and landscaping as well as overflow queue for the new Duck Dodgers attraction. The current Roadrunner Express coaster will be rethemed to "Speedy's Speedway".

The current empty footprint for the now defunct Acme Waterworks play area will be used as the outdoor queue for the new Duck Dodgers 3D film which will be located in the current Acme Foam Factory indoor playground. Taking a cue from the Bioshock video games in typical Looney Tunes tongue and cheek fashion, the outdoor exterior for Duck Dodgers resembles a lighthouse to keep with the seaport theme. It's only once were on the ride (a small theater with moving seats, similar to the set up of Minion Mayhem at Universal Studios) that we see the lighthouse is simply a front to launch us into space for a glorious five minute chase to hunt down and capture the dastardly Marvin the Martian.
608

The area in the back of the Seaport currently called Whistlestop Express will become home to a relocated Ocean Discovery area featuring two animal exhibit favorites in the park...Penguin Passage and Stingray Bay. The train ride which goes around the Shark Experience building and offers a great view of lake surrounding the park will stay in tact as the single ride in this area while the helicopter ride (yet another Dumbo clone) will be scrapped to make way for the Stingray Bay pools, while the Walrus Experience is retired from the park to make way for an expanded, double-story Penguin Passage which gives guests a much more spread out interpretation of the arctic environment that its penguin inhabitants call home.
