Hopefully they will close tarzan and tear down the theatre to make room for Australia in 2008! YEAH!!!!! lol yeah right who am i kidding

Oh yeah, hi, I have been on the boards for two years and this is my sceond post! Yeah!!!!

Well, we have been hearing some rumors recently that Australia will be the next land and that it will be announced after the opening of Everest. However, I highly doubt that it will go there. I would like to see it on the Africa side of the park to balance it out a little bit.

Well Austrialia would be great but thats a while off as we know! The thing about it is that there is only a couple of places that the land can go. The Africa side is not an option! I used to work at Kilimanjaro Safaris and the land which you speak of is all backstage animal habitats, employee cafes, Vehicle housing, and management offices. Plus the parcel of land that you speak of is maybe 500 feet deep until it hits the MAIN backstage road into the park.

More desireable land is between Everest and Tarzan rocks with lots of room to expand. One thing to note: Look at a map of the park ( I know its not precise) and if they were to tear down tarzan they would have even more land with a cushy bumper into Dinoland. They might put it between Africa and Asia but they most likely would have to tear down the train and conservation station. Yep my money is in between Asia and Dinoland.

Or, they could move FotLK and build it near Camp Minnie-Mickey.

Expansion east is not an option - the ground is sunsuitable (as discovered during initial surveys for the park) - as soon as you get near Reedy Creek its sinking time. The same west - past the original location of Beastly Kingdom is the Boggy Creek wetlands, hence the unusually long, thin shape of the park.

I've heard back from a friend in Entertainment, they have heard nothing about Tarzan Rocks closing. Admittedly they are not too high up the Disney food chain, but at least word has apparently not got down to the people involved in the show if it is to close.

I've been pressing on with my video edit of the show. I'm now nearly half way there - 14 minutes.

There is an article in the latest Disney magazine about one of the singers that has been with Tarzan Rocks! Since the start...I really do not believe they would go to the trouble of putting in the article if the show was about to close. The rumor has been around for a while.

Would she be the smiley faced brunette? I think she features in my earliest recording and is still there now. I'm amazed she can still put that much enthusiasm into a show she has done sooooo many times!

It's actually one of the male singers. The blonde one. (Although I am partial the brunette guy ;) )

But yeah, there's one brunette girl who always seems to be there when I go.

Cute and a great performer.

I think I use a different rule to gauge the male performers that your good self ;), but the chap I think is the best singer is this bloke:

It's the sound from one of his performances that I'm basing my video edit around.

Well he will feature heavily in my video edit. I'll have to let you know when it's done and on Disney-Central.

never seen the show

Sorry if I sound ignorant, but what exactly is wrong with this show? My wife and I have never seen the show due to our children being to young during our most recent visits. Anyways, the show looks interesting. Is it extremely roller blading and other stunts?

Can anyone give me the jist of it? Thanks in advance.

i wasn't going to say anything until i read this, but a friend of mine who works in costuming said they are working on a few new costumes for the dancers in the show, and she has heard NOTHING of it closing anytime soon.

I've never liked this show so I hope it does (that is if they decide to replace it with a quality show)....

Ditto. I am a very positive person when it comes to WDW, but this attraction needs to go. AK needs all the helps it can get and I would consider getting rid of this "attraction" addition by subtraction. I would still hope that they would replace it, but either way, Tarzan Rocks! needs to go.

Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. Some people just don't like loud rock music and and I guess some don't like it when a park show is not a Reader's Digest version of a movie.

It's a half hour concert of the songs from the film, featuring an excellent live band, three singers, a dance troop, Tarzan and Jane doing an aerial act, roller blading stunt monkeys and Turk leading a bit of audience participation. Whenever I see the show, it gets great audience reactions.

Only way to know for sure is go for yourself and make your own mind up. Different strokes for different folks.
