Tangled Rock Work Taking Shape

I agree, and with the Fantasyland expansion the old area will look...older. They should spend a little time putting a new front on these old attractions, but maybe that is part of their plan.
I seem to remember that they just had the IASW facade behind tarps recently so instinct tells me they won't be doing it again any time soon. :( Now that said... the rumored PP Interactive queue may include some theming and it begins not long after this wraps I think right?

Yes, once the bathrooms are done, they will be closing the PP bathrooms and using them in some way for an interactive queue..at least that was the rumor I saw on here.

It would be cool if when you are leaving the Enchanted Forest and coming back through the castle walls you felt like you were entering the castle court yard in the medieval times, with Knights dressed in armor, sword in the stone, court jesters, peasants selling bread and turkey legs, jousting, horses with carts (Minus the horse poop). I think that is what they are kind of going for, they just need to bump up the theming a bit.

Pooh got a spruce up recently with its interactive queue. Peter Pan is getting an interactive queue. Pinocchio Village Haus just had the roof redone and building spruce up. The carousel just got a refurb last fall as well. The Tangled themed bathrooms is more about adding theming to what was needed, larger bathroom space and most importantly expanded walkways. Then the building where Snow White's Scary Adventure is getting a complete make over into the Princess Fairytale Hall.

I don't know whatelse they could do. More small theming elements will probably be mixed in by adding themed carts (food/beverages).

It should all look great.

It's been two years since I was there, When I was there last the Poo queue was under construction. I guess I'm still picturing it the last time I saw it.

In my opinion, the village haus facade and the other buildings in the courtyard look extremely outdated. I know they won't rebuild everything (or get rid of the tents), but I was hoping at least a new color scheme for everything (walls, faux wood, shingles) would really help make the courtyard look more up to par with the forest.

Like I said in my post, the Pinocchio Village Haus did just have the roof completely redone with new color (blue) tiles to tie in the theme of the courtyard. See the photo below and this link http://orlandoparksnews.blogspot.com/2011/07/fantasyland-update-construction-walls.html

Also they are currently working on refurbing some of the facade on the village haus and Sir Mickey's is getting work done too... See towards the bottom of this blog post... http://orlandoparksnews.blogspot.com/2012/09/fantasyland-news-rapunzels-village-more_11.html

They really are fixing up the older buildings. As said, it will all be cohesive and look great.

I believe you mean the newly-interactive "Pooh queue." The "Poo Queue" will line up in the courtyard just outside the new Fantasyland walkway restrooms, and thank God, it will NOT be interactive! Unfortunately, these restrooms are replacing the PP ones, so if you're looking to get in the "PP Queue," you'll have to take your business elsewhere. ;)

I think that the parks need some filler space in between rides. Yes it is using space for walking paths and bathrooms and themeing, but in reality you need transitions between lands and you need some scenic aspects to the parks besides show buildings and rides. I think one of the thing Disney does great in some of its parks is incorporate nature and landscaping. It makes the land a little more "magical" if you have a chance to just take in the area and enjoy the little things.

I can agree with this, BGW does a great job with it. Maybe that is why they have been the most beautiful park for the last 900000 years.

BGW does the landscaping... and nothing else. There's nothing to go to, get to, to do. Beautiful? Perhaps. Boring? Absolutely. Let me know when they build four theme parks, hire 60k employees and have over 500 rides shows and attractions. Then we'll talk.

BGW is a fantastic park with a lot of good rides, more good rides than AK or DHS for sure. But that is irrelevant, the only point i was making is BGW does a good job of crowd control and themeing from section to section and having a decent barrier between different themed areas.

I wasn't trying to say BGW was better than WDW, just saying they did a good job.

I saw some recent pictures of this area before and, while I know it's all just steel work right now, I'm just not getting that "Tangled" vibe. Sure I know once there is something covering said steel it will probably be a little more obvious but right now all I see is a building with a roof shape similar to that of Village Haus and a short little rocket shaped tower. LOL!

Maybe there will be some Toy Story SYNERGY with Tangled with the addition of a Buzz Lightyear rocket! ;)

To me, I feel like once all is said and completely done, Philharmagic will seem the most "out of place" in New Fantasyland..I mean, it still makes sense as a "Fanstasyland" attraction, just that with everything being overhauled and thematically unified, it may feel misplaced....thoughts?
