Tangled Rock Work Taking Shape

I found it ridiculous that when the newest blog was posted today Jennifer was asked not once but twice what this Tangled section was for and didn't answer.

It's weird that nothing is being said about it especially when people are asking about it

My question is why are they spending so much money on a bathroom. I am sure the themeing will be nice, and it will flow well, but really? I mean its a bathroom, why not put something else in this spot.

Because they're getting rid of the older bathroom nearby so this will act as a replacement.

Out of those towers built, I'd say Paris has the best.

I mean i realize that, but its a huge footprint to put some themed bathrooms without a meet and greet or something else. It just seems like the least efficient way to use that space.

Alot of space will also be dedicated to the new pathway leading into Liberty Square so crowds won't have to squeeze under the existing "tunnel". If you put in a M&G and queue, it sorta defeats the point of having the extra space.

With that fact that no one has really confirmed anything about this actually being Tangled themed I'm not sure the rock-work is necessarily Tangled themed either. LOL! My gut tells me it's just "Fantasyland" theming (which now includes a lot of rock lol).

I think that the parks need some filler space in between rides. Yes it is using space for walking paths and bathrooms and themeing, but in reality you need transitions between lands and you need some scenic aspects to the parks besides show buildings and rides. I think one of the thing Disney does great in some of its parks is incorporate nature and landscaping. It makes the land a little more "magical" if you have a chance to just take in the area and enjoy the little things.

I think they have, though, if you find the 'Fantasyland Aerials (July 5)' thread, there's quite a bit of conversation along with some of the plans for that area.

I think I saw that but could've sworn the plans showed nothing that confirmed a Tangled theme. Maybe it's just because I blocked it from my memory... I have some strong feelings around why they tore down an original tower to build a tower. LOL

A number of people who have seen the plans have confirmed that its themed to Tangled. There have also been to segments of the plans posted here, one that calls out Rapunzel's tower and another clearly showing a mosaic that will be on the grown that matched on of the scenes in the movie.

There really isn't enough space to put much else there except maybe another store.

They're building her tower???? Is Rapunzel gonna be moved to do her meet and greets by the new bathrooms? :p
Her new meet-n-greet will be called "Potty Time with Rapunzel" and will feature a series of games such as "Wee Around the World" (musical chairs), "Peek-a-Poo" (hide and seek) and a "Wet Escape" (giant water slide).

Now that's toilet humor Disney-style!

It's nice when there is a themed area with attractions and the bathrooms blend in with the theme but in this case the bathrooms seem to be the themed area and the attraction, seems a little odd. Rupunzel is a popular charcater these days but the joke is on her.

Taking the joke out of that... you make a good point actually. In this case it seems that bathrooms and the walkway etc. are going to be better themed than the area around it. It almost feels like the IASW and PP buildings etc. won't look right once this is done.

I agree, and with the Fantasyland expansion the old area will look...older. They should spend a little time putting a new front on these old attractions, but maybe that is part of their plan.
