I haven't had Olive Garden in so long. I can almost taste the breadsticks. :hungry:
The one time I took my mom to Olive Garden, which she had wanted to try for a long time, I was underwhelmed and she wound up tossing her dinner into a garbage can (she threw up about 3 metres.from the restaurant)

Then again, my Irish self married into an Italian-American family. I had to learn to make spaghetti sauce from.scratch, and there was a test before the wedding.

You may think I'm.joking about the test, but I'm.not. My MIL was.some serious business.

And I should probably note that my mom was 100% Irish (sadly, she passed away last November, only having tried Olive Garden that one time)

We love Olive Garden. We eat there almost every time we visit the US, as there are none left in Canada. (None that I know of, anyway.)

I’m a Polish/Ukrainian Brit and Hubby is an Irish Brit. What do we know about Italian food? Authentic, inauthentic … it’s all good.

I'm from rural Wisconsin. Olive Garden is about as authentic as Italian food gets around here. The same could be said for pretty much any style of food. Except we sure know how to do cheese, brats, and dairy.

I'd give it another go, but would have to do so without the hubs. 🤷

I've lived in the south my whole life and this summer has really been my "what the heck are you still living here for?!" when it comes to the heat 😂 I should have listened to my Canadian husband and just immigrated up there when I had the chance 😉 Loving this report so far! When I was younger, we used to visit Pigeon Forge often.

It’s been crazy hot in my part of Canada this summer too. You’re going to have to head further north for relief this summer.

I remember last winter being colder than usual, so I am afraid to complain too much about the heat.

Mike is down at the shower house. I went about 1/2 hour ago. I suspect an early night is on tap.

The wifi stinks and my LTE isn’t great either. I’d blame the mountains, but I’ve been here before and I don’t remember it being this bad.

A couple of pics from earlier today, which may or may not take an hour to load. 🤦🏻‍♀️

This is the same river that runs by the Old Mill Inn. We’ve only seen it in the winter, it seems wider and murkier today.

I'm in middle Tennessee and the temp was 95F and the feels like was 113F when I mowed my lawn at dusk today. pretty good chance of rain the next 7 days, so it had to be done. :arghh:
Man, that’s hot!

Yup, looks like 50% chance (or greater) of rain every day for the next week. Light drizzle is fine, we’ll still go do stuff. Thunderstorms mean we stay put under the awning.

We’re hoping to have lunch with our friend at the Old Mill on Tuesday. That’s an indoor activity. 🙂

We LOVE the old mill! We are on T-mobile and we took a day trip over last week. In the last ten years we can not remember cell service as bad as this year.
