Taking Baby Bo to Pigeon Forge - a Live JenniferS Trip Report (7/23 - 8/8)

We are at the Ark Encounter. We have paid $20 for parking. There is zero chance we are staying. The generator has shut off twice in 10 mins.
Now to tell Mike we are switching the plans.

Bailing on the Ark. We are headed to a nearby KOA Holiday. Pool is open until 10:00.
I am not a risk taker. If anything happens to this pup, my boys have both told me not to bother ever coming home.
We’ll make do with the food we have in the Koolatron. Looks like meat and cheese sandwiches, and salad.

It’s a cute little campground. I could easily see staying here for 4 or 5 days. As it is, we pull out in 14 hours or so, so we’ve stayed hitched.
Are we level? Not even a little.
We have a/c. We have cable tv. We have food - once I make it. And we have a safe place to sleep. It’s all good, even if it’s totally different than what we had meticulously planned.
Check out is 11:00 am. Check in at our real destination is 2:00. This is how far we have left to go.

It’s not dinner out, as planned, but it was free, it was tasty, and it was healthy.
Going for a walk shortly, even though I’ve already closed all my rings.
I am very tired, but happy to be here, and feeling oh so blessed. Life is good. Did I mention tired?

I know, right?!? It totally felt like we were headed to WDW!
We fly more often than we drive (I think), but as we’re heading south on I-75, I keep saying, “I remember this road. I remember this rest stop. I remember this cool church/building/whatever ….”
No more Touchdown Jesus though. Still makes me sad.

It was about 77 here today, so lovely. Perfect for camping.

We had a high of 80 today. Yesterday we had high temps and really high humidity. It was more humid here yesterday than any of our days in Florida last month. We also had severe storms and lost a branch on the tree out front.
