Take the scents of the Magic Kingdom home with you

Yes, but that hotel should have been opened years ago. Don't forget those buildings sat empty like abandoned buildings for several years. However, I believe truer to the posters point was that they continue to offer less resort specific merchandise in favor of generic merchandise world wide, yet they think a turkey leg air freshener is a marketable item ...

True, but only the Little Mermaid buildings.

And the resort and park specific merchandise is coming back slowly, and has been the past few months.

I would love a "The Land Pavilion" air freshener. Not sure if it is Sunshine Seasons or just the age of the building but that smell when you first walk in the atrium is something I never smell elsewhere.

I will be getting some Mickey Waffles though, thats awesome. Never been much of a fan of turkey/alien legs.

How about Tommorowland Indy speedway smell or a pleasure island one that smells like cigars...

But seriously, I think a fireworks smell, maybe a waterpark themed one that smells lke sunscreen, or a port orleans that smells like the water taxi would be sweet!

So DCA gets all sorts of high quality location themed merchandise much like WWoHP ... HKDL also just got a whole new line to celebrate their new land ... and the MK gets these tacky pieces of reeking *&^%.

Yep, keep telling yourself that the folks who run WDW know what they're doing.

Ohh I want that one! And also the AKL lobby! I do love the idea of capturing smells, but there's really no easy way to do it without the smell becoming "generic" :(

Here are the ones that have had new resort specific merch come out recently:

Animal Kingdom Lodge
Art of Animation
BoardWalk Inn
Old Key West

There are probably more, and will be more in the future. The article linked to on Animal Kingdom Lodge and Old Key West was posted just 5 hours ago.

I don't believe in giving Disney credit for fixing something they broke and were arrogant and flat out stupid about it ... and they continue to be.

They are only doing resort specific merchandise at ... well, specific resorts. I recall the blog post where scary merchandise blogger Steve Miller (he was even creepier when he was WDW ambassador, I was convinced he had Pixie Dust coursing through his bloodstream) told guests staying at the All Star Music soon that they could go to the Hanes shop at DD and make their own merchandise. Honestly, the dude should have been fired for that comment right there, except that is how the whole merchandising department is (mis)managed.

How many times do I have to say these people are clueless.
