Take the scents of the Magic Kingdom home with you

Disney World has 24 hotels. One of which just opened a little more than a month ago, and will be competely open by September.

Disney doesn't have to match Universal or Disneyland every single time, on the same day. This is like people complaining about Casey Jr. opening the same day as Carsland. It doesnt make sense.
Universal already left Disney in the dust. How do you get to 24...

Universal already left Disney in the dust.

Perhaps Disney should develop a scent called "Negative Online Forum Poster".

I think this is a neat idea, producing a little something that can subtlety remind you of the park experience. I would venture to say if the initial launch goes over well new additions will follow soon.

This is a form of "Scent Marketing" (Yes, That Does Exist). Because memories and experiences are so closely linked with our sense of smell, the intent is to trigger those strong memories with a scent associated with fun times (In This Case The Parks) thereby developing and conditioning an urge to go back.

But maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Good idea but the reality is most Disneyheads want the smells of Pirates water, SSE burning Rome, and animatronics in general...candle form ideally.

oh, Pirates water would be so great!! Not that they'd ever do it... My partner and I will pick up that scent at random places, like Longwood Gardens, and immediately and simulatanteously be transported to that ride in our minds!

Mesa Verde Orange? (Though "Soarin' Orange" does have a nice ring to it...)

I think these air fresheners were designed with as much thought to the visual effect as to the olfactory -- other than the turkey leg, the other three fresheners are fairly recognizable when hanging from a car's rear-view mirror. Sure, they're not that big, but you can probably see them easily when walking by a parked car in a lot, or in the car stopped behind you at a light. Like Mickey head antenna toppers, they effectively serve as ads for Disney parks.

As for the turkey leg... well, it looks like a generic turkey (or chicken) leg. I think most people who see that hanging in a car would think that the car's owner has some kind of poultry fetish...

Folks have already covered the ones I would buy. Horizons orange grove scent and Dole Pineapple.
Add to that the smell of the trees at Ft. Wilderness and I'm good. I swear, the smell of the woods at Ft. Wilderness drops my blood pressure by 10-20 points.

I'm thinking this a good little selection for a test run that may lead to things like the others folks have suggested (with the exception of the BO and mold I'd guess lol). Me, I can't wait to hang a turkey leg in my car!

In all fairness, they R&Ded Animal Kingdom themed air freshners, but elephant poop probably would't have been a big seller.

I really love this idea! Scents is just the kind of trinket I would buy.

The execution is a bit lacking. Mickey Waffle? Does that even have a smell? And Turkey Legs - that's just gross. I don't want to smell food when I'm not eating it. What I want is to smell places! We wants:

Horizons, Soarin' oranges, Pirate water, Poly lobby, Rome burning, and Philharmagic's 'Glade Apple Cinnamon'.
