Trailer did indeed play in-front of Dr Strange 2, it was the same teaser trailer though.
So expect the full trailer in the next couple weeks.
It is clear that Marvel is giving each of the films their time to shine in marketing.
Oh and this isn't going to cause a problem with the short timeline between trailer and film being released.

Feige recently said that perhaps too much was revealed in trailers for Doctor Strange 2.
Hopefully, this means they are restraining themselves on teasers starting months before release and including more and more snippets such that a trailer becomes nothing but spoilers.
For the crowd whining for Trailers... prepare thyselves for agony to come. This may be the new norm.
Now there's just too many trailers!!!
