they can move idols after votes are cast... the question is after votes are started to be read

Edit: Sorry, I think I maybe now understand your question, did you mean could Sophie have gifted her unused hidden immunity idol after the vote was read? No I don't believe so.

(Previous post) Sorry, I was referring to the necklace won in challenges. The individual immunity necklace cannot be moved after votes are cast.

The hidden immunity idols cannot be moved after a vote is read. I think they give a tiny bit of leeway with interrupting Jeff's "ok, now I'll read the votes". But as soon as he's pulled out that parchment it is too late.

There has I believe been a "super" hidden idol that could have been played after the votes are read, but it's widely agreed upon that is too powerful of a get out jail free card.

Okay, just finished reading it.
I was totally hoping he would address the Jeremy/Tony final two in the challenge.

I was watching last night with my son, and he asked if Jeremy deliberately jumped off. To me, it felt like a ballgame (oh how I miss baseball right now) where a player loses track of how many outs there are, and starts to walk off the field with only two down.

Did anyone else feel that Jeremy thought he’d won, and just jumped off?

That, or the excitement of making it down to two distracted him.

Does anyone remember what challenge someone had to hold on for an additional 10 seconds in order to claim victory? Someone let go in celebration and therefore the previous person was given the victory? That was stupid. Was that Survivor, or Big Brother?

I don't recall that being Survivor. I don't follow BB. I know Survivor has had to have players hold things for 3 or so seconds, but I don't recall your situation.

I actually sort of liked the super immunity idols. The main thing I like is that it essentially trumps an idol nullifier which I'm not a big fan of.

Maybe I'm mis-recalling. The 3 second thing could make sense. Was there an incident where someone celebrated prematurely in an endurance comp and they had to redo the final portion of the challenge?

The only situations I can recall that could fit along those lines are: Wendell not calling for Jeff in Ghost Island, so Laurel beat him. And Ben flipping the U upside down in HHH.

Of course, I could be forgetting something, too.

Those mistakes I'm ok with and think were hilarious.

Watched a secret scene today. Kim and Sarah at the water well. Sarah starts talking about how rough it was post win and the jury gave her a hard time. It was so bad she didn’t want to play again this season. She then breaks down and Kim comforts her and tells her it’s just a game and she’s not a bad person. Definitely worth watching. You can see why these two players have great connections to the other competitors.

I saw that, too.

Does anyone think this should be the final season of Survivor? Jeff is getting up there, CBS has a new President, probably won't be filming anytime soon, and I doubt they will ever be able to put together a lineup of players like this one.

So, should this be it?

Yes
It physically pained me to see Sophie voted out. She was on the verge of tears and just seemed shaken by it.

Out of the remaining people left, I can't stand Ben/Nick at all. I hope they're the next two to go. I'm hoping at least Tony + Kim make it to the final 3 with the other person being someone from EoE (I would say Rob, but I feel like the time for him to jump in was during the first EoE re-entry otherwise he will be rather neutered going into jury).

Hoping Tyson comes back again. I think of everyone on EoE, he has the best argument if he's in F3. Ethan would be a feel good story. Can't see Rob winning, not even sure if Amber would vote for him.

NO! Kim was one of my #2 coming in! As you have been able to tell, I LOVE Kim Spradlin. Disappointing, but I actually saw this one coming almost the entire episode. I said before the EoE challenge that Kim was going home. As soon as she started targeting Tony, I knew it. So while it was heartbreaking, I had almost an entire episode to prepare myself for it.

- Sarah: I will stay calm. Also Sarah: YOU ******* SUNK MY GAME!

- Once again, the EoE challenge was underwhelming. I don't want to watch people run and gather meaningless items for 10 minutes. But Natalie is a beast. It's too bad she was the first boot.

- Why drop for food? I never get that. In the old days, it was a little easier, as alliances usually stayed solid... but even then. In today's game, you should never drop for good.

- Tony winning three straight immunities... granted this one was a little bit easier with food bribing and a male and female winning, but that's pretty surprising for him!

- Nick is not cut out for this season. He seemed down to get Tony... then he drops and Tony automatically wins immunity. I know he said he was slipping, but I'm not sure if I buy that. Then when Tony confronts him he comes up with that response?! I cringed very hard at that.
- Ben trying to sneak the idol away from Tony. I don't fault him for that. But when Tony catches you, play it off a lot cooler! Say it was a knee-jerk reaction from his time in HHH. Something!

- The Return of the Whispering. At least they provided captions tonight. But still not a fan.

- Are we going to get another advantagegeddon? Tony and Ben both with idols. Jeremy or Michele will have the 50/50 advantage. Someone will win immunity at 6. That leaves one other person. Honestly... it would be kind of poetic if Sarah was sent to the Edge that way after being part of it in Game Changers. Not saying I want it to happen, but it would be a full circle story for Sarah. EDIT - Just realized my math doesn't add up for it to be at 6. It would have to be at 5.

- Wouldn't it have been smarter for Jeremy, Kim, Michele, Denise, and Nick to gang up on Ben? Michele wants Jeremy to stay. Jeremy hates Ben. Kim can't vote Tony anymore. Denise seems mostly aligned with Jeremy/Kim/Michele. And Nick tags on with the group of four between him, Michele, Denise, and Kim. Doesn't that seem smarter and easier than Michele praying the coin flip works? They just gave Tony even more power.

- They seem to have waited too long to target Tony. A lot of that is due to Tony's fantastic ability to lay low for the beginning of this game. But how do you not target Tony? I get he had Sarah, and Sarah had Sophie. But Tony was near or at the level of Rob, Parvati, Sandra, etc. at the start of the game. How has he gotten this far? And now he's unleashed his bag of tricks, which makes him nearly invincible with all of these immunities. Granted, nobody could have predicted he'd be immune three votes in a row.

- I think it's pretty clear that Tony, Jeremy, or Sarah is going to win this game. I just can't see Ben, Nick, Michele, or Denise winning at this point. Denise had a flashy move, but that was pre-merge. Pre-merge doesn't count hardly at all when you get to the end. Michele has done a nice job, but she hasn't done enough yet. I just hope the three make it far, and it doesn't become obvious during the finale. Obvious finales are not fun.
