Oh an age discrimination?! Seriously?? Come on.
She didn't understand that the reasons they were giving her were actually just little annoyances. The real reason was you were gunning for Kelley or Lauren because they seemed close.

Reem had relationships with one or two people. Kelley and Lauren had more relationships. That's what it boiled down to.

I'm not a fan of the loser's bracket in Survivor, but I know they're running out of twists. The goofy Secret Advantage "Menu" is testament to that (you know the next one will be a "Build Your Own Secret Advantage"). I don't have any favorites or dislikes, yet, but Ron Burgundy is right on that border of where he could be charming and devious or condescending and delusional. Only time will tell.

I'm overall pleased they're trying to do something a little bit different this season. So much nicer than the overly forced David vs. Goliath nonsense.

The advantage menu seems like an okay idea too, but it's hard to imagine it being used other than for immunity. Are they going to actually have separate reward/immunity challenges? If you lost a dual challenge, you'd be nuts to steal the reward while still potentially being voted out.

Thoughts:

1. This episode I was bored with EoE. They showed some survival elements, but I don't think they did a very good job showing how hard it was. And I totally believe it's hard, but it didn't look that hard on TV. I'm hoping once more people go to the island it will be more interesting.

2. The challenge was kind of boring. I don't remember it when they did it with Aubry in her previous season, and there's a reason for that. Also, who would choose spices over fishing gear?! Obvious choice, especially with Joe on your tribe.

3. Aubry and Joe look like they're on the outs at their tribe, especially Aubry. But once they get voting, that could all change.

4. Julie was talking about how women aren't finding idols, etc, but I can't remember... did she actually go out looking for one this episode?

5. Kudos to Lauren so far! She's found an idol, and she's not telling Wentworth (so far), which is awesome for her game! She can save it for herself, or hold onto it secretly until an ally is in trouble. I do wonder, though, why they showed her hiding her idol. Is it just to have something while they play her confessional over top, or will somebody find it there?

5. Wentworth is the person I'm finding myself rooting for. I loved her on Second Chances, and I would be very happy if she won this time around. However, she has such a target on her back that I wonder how far she'll make it. Although on captain seasons we've seen returning players go far when targeted early (Penner). And we've seen big returning threats go far after being a big early target (Parvati).

6. I watch Survivor with my dad, and after he was voted out I said that I could see Keith being someone who would just be done. That's hard for a 19 year old, self proclaimed "Mama's Boy". He has no idea if he'll be alone, or if he'd even be in the same place with Reem even if she did choose to stay.

7. I continue to be impressed with David's game, although I think he has the smallest target of the returnees. While he's a good player, his Survivor legacy is pretty small compared to Joe, Aubry, and Wentworth. Those three have a pretty big fan base, whereas I never see a whole lot of people jumping on the David bandwagon.

8. I don't have specifics, but I felt like the editing tonight was different than normal. It may have been the flow of the episode, too, as EoE does take away from tribe/challenge/tribal content.

Well really not a big Wentworth fan. As really she annoys me with her arrogance. That is just me. But really Joe, David, Kelly, and Aubry better be careful for playing the same game twice or more. Will all have targets on their backs.

Keith was the smart vote last night. They are on a losing streak and that may not change with Super Joe on the other side. Gotta stay as physically strong as you can right now...and the dude can't swim...on Survivor??? Really???

I think Keith goes home. I think he's too young and too unsure to take that leap to EoE. He was asking God for a sign...I think there's a huge gust of wind that blows the torch out...decision made.

As usual, just watching the show and not picking anyone yet. Way too early(and I've got too much going on).

I don’t remember seeing that challenge before either.

They didn’t show Julie looking although that doesn’t mean she didn’t.

I too wondered why they showed Lauren hiding her idol. In wet sand. I’m wondering if the tide comes in and exposes it - or worse - washes it away. That would be hilariously heartbreaking.

I loved the montage of Aubrey telling everyone the same thing. Definitely not something you want to get caught doing!

I bet everyone tells everyone that everyone is talking to everyone (if that makes sense). They just showed Aubry doing it because she's a returning player.

Also, are they not editing all the returning players (except for David) as villains so far this season? I know last season they edited some as villains, but they turned it around as the season went on.

Dalton Ross and Josh Wiggler said Kelly got a lot of shots taken at her in that first tribal that we didn’t see in the episode. David seems to be laying back. For some reason, people are suspicious of Aubrey. She played a straight up game in Game Changers, but it looks like they’re out to get her. Lucky for Aubrey she’s in the same tribe as one of the most dominant challenge beasts ever in Joe. Joe could be in trouble if the newbies next week sense a swap coming and decide to dump him, but the odds of Kama losing a challenge are slim.

My thoughts on Episode 3:

1. The narrative of Player X or Kelley Wentworth has grown old. Even if it is the actual storyline that's playing out, that's a reason why you don't do captains.

2. I'm so happy Aubry found the idol! I love that women are finding idols. Angelina must have been psychic.

3. David needs to cool his jets with Wentworth. If he takes her out, he's the next biggest target.

4. Wendy is crazy, but entertaining TV. The ankle, plus the chickens... although the ankle must not have been too bad, because she was walking fine on it later on in the episode, and we never saw Dr. Joe.

5. The Tribal Council was very short. I feel like there must not have been much exciting game play this episode because we didn't get a whole lot of it.

6. Extinction Island is a little more fun, now. I'm looking forward to seeing how they keep it fresh so it's not just the same thing over and over. The possibilities are intriguing. They could send people to different places to get their food. They could keep it the same, and one person goes to get it, but then takes some of their food.

7. The reveal of the choice to go to the EoE is already lame. Who wouldn't at least see what there is to offer? What will be more interesting is to see if anyone quits. Josh Wigler tweeted that it takes around 45 minutes to climb those steps, and you only get a handful of rice.

8. Next week's tribe swap is bittersweet. One, because I'm SO ready for new tribes. I feel like the narrative of this season has been lacking thus far. But I also don't like how they're going to THREE tribes. Because now they'll have three tribes, plus the EoE needing screen time. That's going to give us very little of probably two of those locations. I wish they would have kept it at 2 tribes.

9. Through three episodes this has been an average to below average season. I know it's way too early to judge, but that's where I'm at right now.

I find Wendy so irritating. The flint stealing is obnoxious and the chicken releasing in the scenes from next week is just inexcusable. I want to climb through my tv and punch her in the face. I can’t even imagine how the tribe is going to react.

Agreed. Angelina from last season was entertaining. Irritating is a better word for Wendy.
