Wow, I have to say that has GOT to be some of the absolute WORST gameplay on part of EVERYONE I've seen since a long time. Just plain horrible and inconceivable how badly and, quite frankly, stupidly people played.

Not to put out any true spoilers but "I want to vote that person out because I didn't get a sandwich" is like a preschooler way of playing!
See, that’s why IMHO, it was a great episode that here we are in season 45, and contestants are STILL making the same idiotic mistakes that kill others…again, I’m glad that things went Kaleb’s way. They all say they’re super fans, but yet they all make the same mistakes.

I liked Kaleb up to this episode, but then he went haywire at TC. Saying he isn't the biggest strategic threat but immediately going into 101 strategic trajectories in front of everyone made him look like a fool. Only immunity will save him now.

And after desperately wanting Sifu out, how/why did Dee and Julie SUDDENLY want J out? J had to be quite possibly the least threatening person out there and they never have her a reason to want to flip on them so what the heck was that???

And, for the life of me, I have NO idea why they didn't set up a split vote instead of dumping 11 votes onto Kaleb. I don't even.....I have no idea what to say. Reba should have organized a split and gotten Kaleb and Emily to vote for Bruce so that there was a Kaleb/Bruce split.

Just all around DUMB Survivor playing on many levels!!!

I just watched the episode. And what an episode it was! I was wondering if Kaleb would successfully play his shot in the dark, just based on the fact that it was so obvious going into Tribal. The editing they did with Emily after Kaleb was safe was amazing.

Overall, there was too much going on to split the votes, IMO. Splitting the votes allows someone to switch a couple votes and dictate the vote the way they want it. And with so many different groups, in one afternoon, it's way too much to get fancy. You're just trying to latch on to a name that isn't yours and hope there isn't a successful advantage play. I would have done the same thing. Especially if everyone else was voting Kaleb.

Emily was smart to vote for Kaleb, even though she didn't want to.

Overall an amazing episode. I'm loving this season.

That's why Reba should have orchestrated the moves (they had the power) to make sure it was a split between Kaleb and, say, Bruce. Others would have been on board to ditch Bruce as well.

I STILL have no clue why they targeted J who seemed 100% harmless. This, after having their eyes set on Sifu. What changed? Sifu looked like he was getting rather chummy with Kaleb and some of the Belos.

The only thing I can assume is that they knew everyone was voting for Kaleb (as you said) and figured Kaleb was voting for either J or Bruce and left it at that (not realizing he didn't have a vote).

But MAN did Kaleb totally shoot himself in the foot (or rather femoral artery) for the following tribal or two by spilling his mouth. My guess is that he takes an individual immunity or two. I just hope that Emily doesn't get caught in the crossfire quite yet.
My winner guess is still Dee, Kellie, Austin, or Drew.

J was just a name everyone could get behind. That's all you're looking for at the merge vote.

But they couldn't have put a vote on Bruce because he was safe after winning the challenge. Outside of J and Kaleb, everyone who was vulnerable had strong allies that would have potentially turned the vote against the person targeting them.

I do agree that Kaleb attacking Dee and Julie was too much. But he's trying anything he can. He knows he's going home. I don't blame him for the effort.

Well, it's also beneficial for the chance to get an idol.

Potentially having two idols has to feel really really appealing.

I thought Kaleb would be used as a swing vote this week, and I was wrong. Good on them for seeing him as a threat.

Having said that, I predict he'll be used as a swing vote next week because if he isn't, one side has to see the writing on the wall in terms of being outnumbered.

You don't need to split any where nearly even tho.... how many times have people worried about idols and then worry about losing the vote to just a few votes. There was literally over 10 votes... split it like with 3 just to be safe.

I thought it was hideously bad... How often are there uniamous votes like that early in the merge? Seems so foolish.. especially when they had a second person they were so ready to get behind.

That's what my thinking was. Just throw a couple of votes elsewhere. Belo members should have thrown a couple of votes to Dee or Julie just in case what happened actually happened. But they all apparently wanted J out for some odd reason.

It would have had to be Dee. Julie was safe at the vote.

Well she wasn't going anywhere. I guess Belo didn't care who Kaleb voted for. However, in the case that Kaleb had an idol, they SHOULD have put their votes on Dee. And the other Rebas should probably have put some votes on Kellie just to be sure that there's an opposing alternative.

I think J said in her exit interview they didn't target Kellie because they felt she was too well insulated, and there would have been backlash that would have blown up in theirs faces. It sounds like J was the safest vote after Kaleb where nobody would truly be upset. And nobody wanted to risk throwing a rogue vote with such low odds for the SitD, and then having that vote come back to haunt them.

Obviously, that wasn't the right decision for J, but I understand her thinking.

Glad to see Sifu go…sorry to see Kaleb go, blindsided in a way…too much a favorite and got along with everyone too much and became a legitimate threat…
The immunity challenge was ok, I still have this feeling that Emily will surprise everyone and make it to the final 3.

It feels like we're heading to what will be an unsatisfying final for many viewers.

Bruce has a good shot of making it because people think he can't win. Same for Emily. Who is still left that we can root for?

Katurah is my favourite character at the moment but she doesn't seem to have numbers. I get why she wouldn't go for the 3-3 tiebreaker plan but where does she land now?

Most people don't think Emily can win but I'm not so sure. It would be a great story.

Bruce is a complete mess. He's gone in the next episode or two. And the irony of that is that Belo will fall apart after that. The big debacle with them is whether the tribe was destroyed by Bruce or the coup to boot him (mostly led by Katurah).

Emily made the right choice. They wall wanted Kaleb gone anyway. The only one who wanted to keep him around was Jake. Belo could not rely on using Kaleb as a number anyway.

Emily's win would be a great story for sure. But there's no way in Hades that they (whoever "they" may be) will let her get that far. My prediction is that she's gone in the final 6 or maybe 5.

My money would be on Dee winning if I were a betting man. I'm not but Dee still seems solid right now. She has had personal content, thematic content, strategic content, and a mix of positive with a touch of negativity but not blaring.

Last night's episode was pretty average. The split was not fun, and they just need to let the merge play out. I don't mind half of the people being safe for the first vote, but there's no reason to immediately split them into two tribes again. You might as well swap again.

That challenge is one of my favorites. Parvati always pops into my head with her iconic moment from Heroes vs Villains when Jerri asks how she can stand on just one leg, to which Parvati shrugs.

Sifu was pretty annoying to me. He didn't really seem to want or know how to play the game. Kaleb was much more sad, but there's also no way he was making it the whole way through.

As far as potential winners, my bet is on Kellie. She was really my #1 winner pick coming into the season, but I switched to Sabiyah because I always pick someone like Kellie, and I always fail. Go back to my winner pick post to see that I'm not just saying that now!

But I think Kellie has done a good job of keeping the target off herself, and also keeping shields around her. She did a good job keeping Bruce. He's loyal to her, and eyes will always be on him if he's around. He'd be a good goat for Kellie to take to the end. It reminds me of a Rob/Phillip relationship. Rob didn't want to keep him around, but he knew it was best for his game. I'm not saying Bruce is even on the same level of goat as Phillip, but I see the same logic applying.

I also like Dee. She's cold and calculated. I wonder how long she can hide that, though. Kellie seems more even.

I could also see an Austin or Drew win. I guess it's time to bring back my winner rankings...

Best Chance to Win
1. Kellie
2. Dee
3. Austin
4. Drew

Wouldn't Be Crazy
5. Emily
6. Jake

Outside Chance
7. Kendra
8. Katurah
9. Julie
10. Bruce

There isn't anyone I'm 100% writing off at this point. However, even if I did, there's a good chance they could win. I think I wrote off Erika, Maryanne, and Gabler at one point or another in their seasons.

Kellie will need some personal content. She has long confessionals that really spell out her inner conflict about where she stands and what to do. But she needs a reason for audiences to connect before she tops my list. I assume it's coming soon. Likewise, Katurah desperately needs a new story other than Bruce to even have a chance. Dee's edit has seemed more balanced and diverse in scope. Heck, even that bit in episode 2 about her toe came back to help her with this past challenge.

I do appreciate how the 90 minute episodes have helped to carefully dissect each player. The only ones who weren't carefully structured at all have been Sifu, J, and Brando who are all gone now.
