WOW. I love Ozzy. And Coach is SO ANNOYING. Interesting to see how this plays out - if tribes have finally learned the "don't throw a challenge" lesson. Can't wait!

Now wouldn't it be great if Russell's Nephew put Russell down as the Family Member to visit the tribe and to win the challenge if he gets that late in the game? :drevil: I would just LOVE that!!! The game would definitely liven up for that episode.

And it all begins...less than 24 hrs from now. :D:D
(Though I wonder if having the season premiere of Survivor on the same night as the grand finale of America's Got Talent is a bad idea)

Either way, glad to have another season upon us.

I'm very excited for Survivor!!!

I'm not a huge fan of the idea of bringing back only 2 players. I like either an All*Star season or completely new season.

I love the idea of Russell's nephew coming on. If he's smart at all he won't tell a soul who he is. I think Russell was the best to ever play the game but he can't return anymore - they know his game now. Thats the flaw in Survivor bringing back old players.

And I usually love the "villains" (Boston Rob and Russell) but Coach is one I'm not a fan of. He's just annoying. But regardless...I'm excited for tonight!!

I put the over/under on him calling himself the Dragon Slayer at 4 minutes.

I like that there seem to be a few more "real" people on there this season instead of just a bunch of pretty faces.

Don't want to post any spoilers for those who may not have watched yet, but my husband and I had a bet on who we thought would be the first to go from each tribe, and the person who went was NOT on either of our lists. I thought it was a good call, though!

And did anyone else find it amusing (and creepy) that "Lil Hantz" was bashing the girl for "putting herself on display" and saying that he didn't want to put himself in a situation where he'd get into trouble, yet he couldn't keep his eyes off of her?! Personally, I was HAPPY to see her up there working, it drives me crazy when the younger females just lay around in the sun and ride someone else's coattails.

So happy that all my shows are starting back up! :animwink:

I've got to comment on Lil Hantz tattoo. How stupid are you?! Oh I don't want to reveal who I am - so I just have to keep my shirt on. Like don't you think people will notice when you never take off your shirt even when swimming? Weird. People will definitely notice it. If it comes out - they'll vote him off immediately.

I won't spoil anything but I was happy with who got voted off last night. Very annoying. I look forward to the rest of the season!

He could blame it on a bad sunburn or something. But you're right...he'll be gone as soon as someone discovers the truth. It'll be interesting to see when & how the shi..."Hantz" hits the ceiling fan. Though he could be a complete polar opposite of Russell, and other tribe members may like him to the point where it wouldn't matter if/when his identity is revealed. That's how I would play if I were in his shoes: Be likeable, funny, play hard, and make friends to the point that people would discard the fact of his bloodline relation when it is discovered.

Observing Ozzy's new hair look...is he auditioning for a role as Jesus of Nazareth?

Coach: I'm surprised how mum he was on his infamous "Dragon Slayer" phrase. Though "integrity" was mentioned more than not.

Make no mistake, the show's producers are desperately hoping Russell's nephew makes it to the Family Member challenge.

I've never been a big Ozzy or Coach fan. Ozzy has no sense of strategy and is a small step above dullard. Coach also lacks strategery and is also not real sharp, but his self-important delusional proclamations can be mildly amusing. He's not completely onboard the crazy train (hey, wasn't that an Ozzy song?), but he's already purchased a ticket, that's for sure.

As for the rest of the newbies, I have to admit siding with the "old" woman in that I'd want to start work on the shelter pronto, too. I like the Harvard geek, as well, but if he's already this paranoid (yet another Ozzy song!), he's toast. He will be useful to the producers as something of a "narrator" - I can see his confessionals being the most descriptive and interesting about the state of the game/tribe/alliances.

Survivor is back, and it looks to be ... flying high again (an Ozzy song trifecta!)!

The Harvard guy is hilarious. My favorite moment was when he was SHOCKED at tribal that it was so obvious he couldn't get his skinny rear over the wall.

I did, however, find it distracting that I spent much of the show wondering how Ozzy gets his curls so perfect and mine just frizz.

I think that Lil Hantz (whats his real name?) will be in deep if it's discovered too soon. But all his religion talk makes him sound like he doesn't want to be grouped w/Russell. But I'd still be crazy suspicious of a guy who doesn't EVER take his shirt off.

I hope Coach has downplayed the 'Dragon Slayer' phrase because it makes him 1,000% more annoying. So maybe he realized this and is trying to get on peoples good side.
