Survivor 20: Heroes Vs Villians..:D

Wow that was such a physical challenge! Producers had to KNOW Russell would be a greatest villain just from filming Samoa....audience reaction wasn't even needed that's how crafty he was!

What a great episode. Glad Sugar left--she did well in Reward but lost it in Immunity. She showed weakness, was clearly annoying, and they votted her out.

At this point, you have to make sure your tribe gets rid of the weak players, to maintain a strong tribe to win rewards and have a "happy" camp life and numbers into the merge. Good choice Heroes.

I am eager for everyone to settle in. The first episode always annoys me because the castaways haven't settled in, and I'm still getting used to them. I'm ready for them to be castaways again, and not "all stars." It will happen, in time.

Wow...what a great opening show. I have seen them all and this looks to be an awesome season. I wish they were all 2 hours long. It gave us time to get into things a little more deeply.

The first challenge was awesome. Steph is one tough woman. I loved how she asked "pretty boy" Probst "What does that mean if you bring in medical?", basically saying if it means I am out of the game, I don't want them. I particularly loved the camera work as they were digging in the sand. Sugar was annoying and needed to go. Rupert isn't the same guy though. You can tell the toe is bothering him and he doesn't have that same vibe to him. Maybe it was the editing. Coach b!t(h slapping Colby in the challenge was a riot.

I do think that Parv is going to lead another all girl(female, woman, whatever will not get me in trouble) alliance again. I wonder if Russel will let anyone else find an idol?

I just hope that both Amanda and Parvati last a long time on this season. They make the show all the more enjoyable to watch. :animwink:

Finally got to watch the season premier last night. (had to DVR it) WOW! What a great opening episode. Stephenie is tough as nails. And Sugar... :hurl: I am so glad she went first. There are some great characters on the villians side: Coach, Boston Rob and Russell. I have to wonder how some of them were chosen, though. Candice?? I do not remember anything about her, at all. And Randy... yes he was an a-hole on his season, but I don't think I'd call him a "villain" just for being an a-hole. Jerri is still annoying as all heck. When I first heard this season was going to be HvV I was like, ugh, no. I wasn't a fan of All Stars or Fans vs. Favorites, but this one seems like it is going to be really good. Looking forward to watching! :sohappy:

Excellent first episode, and I'm glad it was a full two hours! The highlights are all Boston Rob:
1. Probst asks him if he should be on the Villains team. His answer: It depends on your perspective. Exactly.
2. Gets fire started with no flint. Very few seasons have had people able to do this.
3. Promises not to do anything stupid for Amber and almost talks the idiot Coach into climbing the palm tree.
4. Working with Sandra, completely dominates the Hero tribe in the puzzle part.

Lowlights:
1. Coach is there.
2. Colby doesn't know any of the other competitors.
3. Coach (eww) and Jerri (yuch) are attracted to each other (blech).

Random observations:
1. That one really skinny chick with the white hair does a great eye roll.
2. Russell's interviews will be really funny, because he doesn't know he lost Samoa.
3. I wonder if the other competitors were given at least an overview of what happened on Russell's season. They all seem to "know" he's not trustworthy.
4. Sugar cried a lot during her season, but since she was on Exile Island most of that season, no one noticed.
5. By 10 minutes into the show we already had blurring of naughty bits. I think that may be a record.

Final thought: Impossible to tell from the previews if Rob is done or not. Hope not.

He was on Season 2 Survivor: The Australian Outback with Jerry. They discussed that in the first 5 minutes of the show. He competed on All Stars with Rupert and Boston Rob. They all know each other anyway from reunion shows and what not any way.:hammer::shrug:

Colby had to ask Candice who she and practically everyone else on his tribe was.

2. Colby doesn't know hardly any of the other competitors.

Better now? Oy.

I have seen it mentioned a couple of times asking if they were shown anything about Russell. According to a published interview with Sugar after she was voted out, they weren't told anything about Russell. Just that he was a villain. Here's the excerpt:

Gordon: What, if anything, did the players know about Russell Hantz?
Sugar:
Nothing, we knew nothing about Russell besides the fact that he did something so brazen or whatever that he was back already after two weeks. We also knew that he might be completely insane because he had just played the game. And when they put him on the Villains side, that should have put a little red flag up for those guys.

Here's the entire interview:

She was also asked about it in a live chat on Friday afternoon and said the same thing.

I agree about Candice. Although I do remember her from the season she was on, but she never really did anything that makes her stand out. I think she was a "fill in" after they probably couldn't get anyone else that were probably on their A list of choices.

One thing I remember about Candice from her season, which was kind of funny yet sad at the same time, is that one of the other players in that season thought that he was in love with her after having only known her for a few minutes. And he thought she felt the same way.

Colby knows about the other contestants. Do you really think someone returning for the third time wouldn't do some research first? He was fishing for information. IT IS CALLED PLAYING THE GAME!

They did not know who would be playing again this season...I doubt they said "you will be playing against..him, him ,her and him this time okay! Study up!.."...he could have maybe watched some of the seasons but Jeff said that there has been over 300 players on Survivor so far!

So, he may not know who every single person is...

When asked why he auditioned for Survivor Australia he sayed " Becuase I love the game".

Have you asked someone a question that you already knew the answer to? He asked because he wanted to find others opinions on the other contestants.
