These politicians have been caught across the board breaking their ridiculous Virus Rules. The problem is, people here can not hold them accountable due to their strict Partisan Devotion. It's truly disturbing.

What's fascinating about that is how the national media now has to acknowledge that the French Laundry thing happened and that it damaged him permanently, they often forget to mention how he lied repeatedly about it to our faces. Until the photos appeared a few days later.

November 6th: Gavin Newsom and First Partner drive 90 miles to Yountville and attend multi-hour dinner party held in small indoor dining room at The French Laundry. 12 people from at least six different households are in attendance in the small indoor dining room.

November 13th: Story first broke and Newsom tried to shoo it away in prepared statement = "While the First Partner and I followed the restaurant’s health protocols and took safety precautions, I should have modeled better behavior and not joined the outdoor dinner," Newsom said in a statement.

November 16th: Story not going away so he's forced to address it in press conference = "It was an outdoor restaurant." Gavin Newsom said on the record in this press conference cued up here at the point he lies to the camera...

November 17th: Channel 11 News in LA obtains photos taken by a fellow diner at The French Laundry on November 6th. Photos clearly show Gavin and First Partner sitting in the indoor private dining room with the large sliding glass doors closed because they were being loud and disturbing nearby diners across the lawn. So, Gavin lied about it being "outdoors". What kind of outdoors has slate flooring and wood paneled walls and a trendy chandelier hung from the sky ceiling and giant sliding glass doors?

Later in November we learned the fellow diners sitting next to Gavin and First Partner were the President of the California Medical Association and his top lobbyist. And blah, blah, blah... typical government schmooziness and shadiness that any smarmy politician would find themselves slimed with. No big surprise there, he's a sleazy politician after all.

But he lied. From the very beginning he lied. Repeatedly in both prepared written statements and official press conferences with the media. And then the photos showed up and he got caught lying. Thus... the recall. 🤣

And four months after that dinner, the national media still reference it as a liability.

I'm pretty sure there's a difference between understanding the science behind genomics and oh, I don't know, understanding why people shouldn't be having massive political rallies in the middle of a pandemic.
Sorry....my bad. Let me go ahead and fix my original statement.

I'm pretty confident a party that thinks a virus can distinguish between Women's March rallies against a Supreme Court nominee & Donald Trump rallies shouldn't be lecturing other parties about science.

Those DC photos are so drab and dreary! Why not use the marches from sunny Los Angeles in June, 2020 instead?

Who here has condoned the mass gatherings during last summer's marches? Speak up.

Who here has condemned the Black Lives Matter mass gatherings last summer? I did. And I still do. :)

Do you condemn those mass gatherings @raven24?

I think if Disneyland and nail salons can't be open, Black Lives Matter shouldn't be allowed to organize mass gatherings in Hollywood.

You sure are obsessed with Newsom.

I certainly do and did condemn the mass gatherings. What you did is irrelevant to my question. :)

Again, who here does not support opening everything up, but supported the mass gatherings from last summer?

It's good of you to condemn the protests and marches organized last summer by Black Lives Matter. I believe those BLM marches were a slap in the face of every small business owner who has seen their lives go down the toilet. I condemn them strongly.

Not to mention big businesses like Disneyland, that remain closed a year later.

To @raven24's point, is there anyone here who thinks Disneyland should remain closed but supports the Black Lives Matter movement's organized marches and mass protests last year? Anyone?....

Well, the Honda Center and Angel Stadium might get to have fans in April. The Dodgers are working for its home owner, as are the LA Galaxy and the LAFC.

>>Last month the Dodgers, who also played home games in an empty stadium last season, became the first local team to confirm it is working with the governor’s office and public health officials on a plan to allow a limited number of fans to attend games at Dodger Stadium, beginning with the team’s regular-season opener on April 9.

In a video sent to season-ticket holders, team president Stan Kasten said, “I hope, by opening day, we are finally going to have some fans in the park. I don’t think it will be a full stadium just yet. But I do believe sometime during this season, the way things are looking, we will have a full stadium again.”<<

So if they get to have fans by April 9th, shouldn't theme parks be able to open 25% on April 9th considering they are both in the yellow tier?

Methinks you're (purposefully) misconstruing why I condemned the BLM marches last year. I condemned them due to fear of the spread of COVID-19. That's all. Those who destroyed small business were not actual BLM activists, but people who saw an opportunity to vandalize. I couldn't care less about any of the big businesses that were vandalized. Small ones, sure, but not the big ones. In fact I watched people tear up Westside Los Angeles, where I attended school, and didn't bat an eye.

I supported and still support the message of BLM. Screw a Target.

I never mentioned looting. But you just did.

So let's keep this to the marches and protest themselves. It is good of you to condemn BLM for organizing those protests and marches. It may have seemed like a good idea at the time for some folks, but it hasn't aged well at all.

I spotted the problem immediately when they started in June, three months into the pandemic and economic shutdown. I thought it was a tone deaf and self-absorbed way to further the message of BLM. And I still think that.

I do appreciate though that BLM supporters such as yourself can recognize that in 2021. :)

That's using logic and your brain. That's not allowed in Sacramento. ;)
