I was having a discussion in one of my classes about super heros. We were trying to think of super heros that dont have super powers. We came up with Batman and Iron man. Can you think of any other ones? Thanks!

On the Batman theme: Robin, Batgirl, Catwoman (in the cartoon version sometimes she was good), Nightwing (________ Grayson all grown up in the cartoon version), Daredevil - highly refined senses, but not a "superpower", Elektra, Green Lantern - his power comes from his ring, The Punisher, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (am I showing my age with this one?), Casey Jones - character in TMNT,

Can you tell I like comics/superheros?

Love me some Ollie Queen!

Catwoman didn't exactly have powers did she?

All Robins and most of the Bat family actually.

There was actually a great epi of JLU where all the "powered" capes were busy and the non-powered were in a parade. Trouble arose and the non-powered saved the day. I remember Vigilante and Shining Knight being 2 that were there.

Did Wonder Woman actually have any super powers? I was thinking she just had the physical skills of an Amazon woman, but then part of me was kind of thinking she actually had a super power or two as well...like some kind of telepathy or something. Anyone else remember?

Blue Beetle(Ted Kord) - He had lots of gadgets and was an olympic level athlete.

Rip Hunter - Master of time, built a time machine which he uses to travel through space and time, but doesn't have actual powers.

It all depends on what your definition of a “super power” is. Mine is anything that is above what a normal person could do in real life, on their own or with some type of object to assist them. This would include anyone injected with or subjected to something that gave them a more-than-normal ability.

For me, that would eliminate any Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Captain America (super serum), TMNT, Daredevil (sorry folks, he was blinded by a radioactive substance that enhanced other senses).

That leaves us:
Batman (and many of the characters in the Batman stories…Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, Huntress, etc.).
Punisher
Elektra
Green Arrow
Hawkeye

That is all I have off the top of my head…let me think some more.

I agree with you on the TMNT!

Uh let's see...the Punisher, Captain America, and Bucky

Wait, I'm pretty sure Captain America was medically enhanced to make him a Super Solider. I'd count that as having powers.

The Tick all the way!
:D

Oh, and Watchmen is all about heros without powers.

Punisher, Catwoman and Elektra might not have super powers...but are they also really heroes, when it comes down to it? :drevil:

Well, I think we all missed one, From that capital one card commercial: armadillo man
we have no proof he has superpowers except being able to curl up in a ball when frightened.

Karate Kid. Ray Palmer isn't really super powered. He just uses technology to shrink. That's kinda like using a rocket pack to fly right? It's not like the Lantern ring. That's more like an enchanted item than a scientific item.

Don't forget about my all tiem favorite, The Rocketeer!

Also, don't forget the pulp novel heroes, they were super before comic heroes came about, for instance, Doc Savage!
