Yup! Was friends w/ her for about 7 years (actually met her on a message board like this!). When I first met her she wanted to set DBF & I up, but for one reason or another we never met. Until 7 years later at her wedding.

First off, times are different. I think you're doing yourself a real favor by going to school and doing things you want to do, like working at WDW, before settling down. Much smarter.
Secondly, everyone is different. You might not have been happy at all if you'd done things exactly as your mom has. What worked for her might not have been the right thing for you at all.

Nothing is wrong, the right person just hasn't come along yet. Before I met DBF people would tell me the same things all the time and yet it still always seemed so impossible.
