Good - raining here, which we desperately need. Just finished loading my dishwasher, and need to go sort some laundry, but I'm taking a break for now. How are you today?
Trying to dog-proof the house. Dave and DD went to get Ginger about an hour ago, so I'm starting to panic a bit....

How far away did they have to go?
It's about 45 minutes to an hour from here, depending on beach traffic. I think they were going to stop to see MIL first too, and do a few minor repairs at SIL's, so they probably won't be here for a while.

I keep looking around the house trying to decide what might tempt Ginger (She tends to be a chewer)

Hello!

Home from the reunion.

Glad to be home.

Especially because my aunt and uncle are at my grandma's!!

Hi Freddy! I thing my family reunion is next Sunday. But it's usually at a relative's place in the country with no fenced in area for Joel to safely play in. We've been to a couple of Christmas parties, but Joel usually has a meltdown at all the people talking at one time. I'm sure people think we're anti-social. :hammer:

How did it go Freddy? Sounds like you're a little familied out!
It was great!
It was so good to see everyone.
I hadn't seen some of the people there in two years, and others for four years!
(There were even a few new people -- new to me, at least.)
I had a really fun time.
My aunt and uncle just get pesty after a while.

Ahh - stocked up on bones and other chew toys? I've never had a dog in the house, so I am completely unable to give you any advice. Mike has indicated the future possibility of a cat, but I'm not there yet.

Awww, that must be tough.
The reunion I just went to is the WHOLE family reunion.
I think the final count for the day (the REAL party was yesterday, but there were both pre and post parties) was 144.

She tends to try to bury bones in the furniture, so I don't think we'll be doing that. The thing is we're so spoiled by our dog - she's just so good - that I'm a little nervous about what to expect.

Ours is my dad's side - he had seven brothers, and there's usually about 50-70 people. Shame to miss it, there's some mighty good food going on there!
How excited you must be about your Disney trip! Getting close! :sohappy: :sohappy:

My daughter does that with kleenex when she has a cold. :brick: :brick:

144? That's a lot of family!
That includes all the older generation (like my grandma and her brothers), and then their kids, and their kids' kids, etc., etc.
Like, my grandma had 7 kids, and together they had 11 grandchildren.
I see them a lot more than the other cousins.
Out of my grandma's immediate family, all of her 7 children were there, and 7 of the 11 grandchildren.

My family loves to eat.
There were some cheese doodles that I could not resist. :lookaroun

I am thrilled!
Need to really start planning that trip.
Turns out the same aunt is going to join us for the first 5 days.
Fun. :lookaroun

Your very fortunate to still have so many family with you. Three of my seven uncles have passed away, as well as all of my grandparents. It sounds really wonderful!

We are very blessed to have so many.
My grandma's twin has passed away, and one of the sets of twins died in infancy.
(My great grandma had three sets of twins, and the two sets survived to adulthood.)
We figured out that my great grandma had something like 34 grandchildren.
We didn't even try to figure out her great grandchildren!
