Vero beach, with a possible 2 night stay in Disney. I don't know if it'll be worth it to pack up and move in the middle of a vacation with a little one in tow...

This is mandated...for the most part. Let's just say there would be a whole heaping mess of guilt if we didn't go. Marc's actually really looking forward to it, since he loved Vero when they went before we were married, but I think he underestimates how tiring a "vacation" with an infant is going to be...

I wish you could just tell them ya'll will make that decision in about 3 months. When Sprout has been born and you get things more in order. (Not that they will be in order at that point)

So this will be Jan/February? Maybe you, Marc, and Sprout could just stay at Vero a couple of extra days while everyone else goes to Disney? Give you some private family time, which you will probably need by then.

Alas, they want a decision now.. I tried to stall them at least until Sprout's born, but they're not happy about that, because they want to book the rooms now, and they're filling up fast.

Well, guess what? It isn't ONLY ABOUT THEM!!!! Well, if Sprout's up all night, crying because of his/her teeth, take the baby to grandma. :D After all, she wants y'all to be TOGETHER. :animwink:

She's volunteered to have the kids (all 3 grandkids) sleep with her... I just don't know about that.. :brick:

If you're planning to nurse, that just may not be feasible. How old are the other grandchildren?

One will be close to 4, and the other will only be a few months older than Sprout. (he was born in may)

I'm not pleased with the whole nursing situation... I just don't think it's going work out, but I have to deal with it. :(

Nursing is a closeness with your baby. It may not always be fun and you may want to do other things but sometimes it is worth it. That is my thoughts on the subject.:lookaroun

I meant I'm not happy with the whole nursing on vacation with tons of people around... It's going to be awkward... :(

I didn't do well with nursing, my milk didn't come in quickly with Abby and she was not your typical sleepy newborn. So I listened to the 'experts' and didn't supplement (they claimed they would be confused by the difference in bottle vs. you), and the result was Abby was dehydrated two days after we got home! So switching her to a bottle became necessary, and I learned my first lesson with experts: they don't know everything about YOUR baby. Joel, I was able to nurse a little longer, a month or two, but we bought a house right after he was born, and in the rush of moving and all the subsequent stress, moving him to a bottle was the easiest decision.
On the flip side, I have a dear friend who nursed each of her five children :dazzle: , their entire first year of life. I would have loved to been able to nurse both of my children, and I regret it didn't work out for me. In the end, you'll make a decision that works for you.

Hello again.

I tried to nurse DD, but after a month she had barely come back to her birth weight and her pediatrician, whom I adored, asked me why I felt so compelled to nurse. It turned out that she was allergic to milk of all sorts, including my own. When DS was born I didn't hesitate to bottle feed him, and both kids were very healthy. In fact I can count on one hand how many sick visits I had with the 2 of them combined for their first 2 years of life.

Y'know, my head is aching at the moment, and I think the fact they're predicting thunderstorms moving through tomorrow, might be why. I'm heading off to take some meds, and tuck my freshly clean, kissable little boy, into bed. :D Take care everyone!

Not today. However, my cousins are there currently (the ones I babysit) with my grandma... but don't get me going on that. I'll never stop

I am going to the parks on the 11th though with two friends.

Ooh, what parks? My dad and I will be at least at the MK on the 11th.

I'm the other way around. I'd rather have classes in the morning and then have the afternoon free. Lucky for me, I got it!

Me too. I try to schedule all my classes in the morning (plus my dad doesn't like me driving at night).

We should start a young people club.

Totally.:lookaroun

Yay!
Hey. . .
My friend Judy made a snack to bring to the pool yesterday.
She took tortillas (the kind you use to make wraps) and layed them on a cookie sheet. She then cut them into 8 pieces with a pizza slicer.
She sprayed Pam with butter on the top of them and sprinkled a mixture of sugar and cinnamon over that.
Baked it for 15 minutes at 350.
They were delicious!
As light as a feather and very tasty!

Oh that sounds so good!:slurp:

Hey Vince, I don't know if you will see this (I will text this to you as well). But tomorrow, I have to run back to my apartment after work to get something. So I would return about 5pm. I hope this is alright with you.
