Maybe they are working on innoventions' replacement? It seems to be heading the same direction as communicore once did when it was dying (fun, but dated, dull, and empty).

So an update on this:

Recently, TDO decided (at the last minute) to keep SOAT open at least for the rest of the summer, hence the website (http://games.mathmovesu.com/soat.html) removing the wording about "until June 30, 2016". As of now, SOAT will still be gone by the end of the year though, and will probably close sometime in the fall.

It gets youngsters thinking about science and maths, whilst entertaining and offering a thrill. Madness to shut it despite its limited capacity. If anything it should be upgraded and expanded.

If they ever close DQ, I think they should just add more simulators/arms and make the whole building a "design your coaster attraction". I doesn't seem that expensive to run really. Although I suppose it may be heavy staff-wise, if they do it at DQ, seems like they could do it at Epcot.

But Epcot was designed to be funded by sponsors (and countries) supplyiny and paying for exhibits. So without sponsors the original model falls apart.

There's no reason why in this day and age Disney can't foot the bill themselves if they can't get sponsors to do so.

Clicking on this article only lead me to clicking on the EPCOT Center map from 1990 (first time I visited the park). It makes me yearn for the old days. Yes the rides were outdated and cheesy, but they all had a charm to them that is now lost. I miss EPCOT Center.

I agree but they need to move on. We're in an age where small kids have smart phones. Companies don't need to sponsor attractions to get their name out there.

It was also designed to showcase the countries and the future, yet Innoventions is all but gone and we can now travel to Arendelle
