Studios name change officially confirmed - Disney's Hollywood Studios

Disney MGM Studios will be renamed to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Strikes me as a somewhat awkward name. I wonder how long it'll be until people stop referring to it as "MGM".

I think I'll always call it MGM. it rolls off the tongue better than Hollywood Studios. Though I do like the new name!!!

Hmmm... So Disney *is* in cahoots with the Department of Homeland Security after all.... :animwink:

If they were going to drop the MGM, I think it should have just been "Disney Studios", or perhaps Disney Studios Florida.

Think we'll get people driving around California wondering where the Disney Hollywood Studios are?
