Good. It's s shame. They're a part of the park. Not sure the cabs are going to waste.
And some are pretty dang new.Good. It's s shame. They're a part of the park.
Any news on what's happening back there in the BLT area?
This doesn't bode well for a timely re-do of Hollywood Studios... it took them 4 months to remove something that has wheels and an engine. The last of the trams are gone as of this past week, but other than that, I haven't noticed anything going on.
Why is everything still intact? What are they planning to do with all the props?
they're busy with taking the dang hat down. This doesn't bode well for a timely re-do of Hollywood Studios... it took them 4 months to remove something that has wheels and an engine.
I know. Here we are almost in February and nothing has started yet. I would have thought clearing would have started on 1/5/15.This doesn't bode well for a timely re-do of Hollywood Studios... it took them 4 months to remove something that has wheels and an engine.
The expectation was some work would begin after the first of the year with it really going full steam ahead after Easter. The reality is, it should have started on June 19, 2010.I know. The DLP blog stated that some props will go to WDS.Pictures from the marathon two weeks ago didn't show much change backstage, all the props were still in place.
i would think only IF they had all the constuction materials ONSITE and all Plans and Blueprints were approved and ready, and of course had all the contractors lined up, then yes it might be more cost effective to close and reopen in say 20 months... but we know Disney, i doubt that all the plans have been greenlit and farmed out to contractors and vendors yet...I still don't believe anything is going to happen in this space until I see construction walls go up around the area. But I have another question. Would it benefit Disney AT ALL to just shutdown the entire park for a while and make the entire park a construction zone while they overhaul the entire thing? I mean couldn't they do the entire renovation in much less time? Would it have a big impact on their bottom line if they just shutdown the whole park for a while?
Just made me laugh. This doesn't bode well for a timely re-do of Hollywood Studios... it took them 4 months to remove something that has wheels and an engine.

Yep. When Disney suddenly announced the closure of the BLT and only gave it two weeks, the assumption was that they had finally fast-tracked some plansThis doesn't bode well for a timely re-do of Hollywood Studios... it took them 4 months to remove something that has wheels and an engine.
