Has anyone ever been stuck on a disney ride? I got stuck on its a small world for over 30mins and they kept the music on all the time! i had that song stuck in my head for the rest of my holiday and my dad refused to go on it again!
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

The first time I went, in 1992, I got stuck on Thunder Railroad. When i went again in 1995, I got stuck in Spaceship Earth. Thank goodness I didn't have to contend with 20 minutes of IASW music!!!

I've gotten stuck a couple of times.
Once on Test Track, at the part when you accelerate to go through the doors onto the highway section, the second we got through those doors we slowed down to 4 MPH and then when we were going around the turn, and fully banked it stopped. We were there at least 10 minutes. Not very comfortable.

Then on Tower of Terror, as we were going up we stopped. We were in between the two floors that you stop at. It was only about a minute, but it was pitch black and everybody stayed silent. It was a little weird.

I got stuck on PoTC and they had to off-load us from the boats. We went through one of the exit doors and around the back of the attraction building ... ahem ... we were magically teleported to the entrance .. lol

Imagine what would have happened if the original 95mph concept had been carried through; the speed was dropped to 65mph since the higher speed required a bank of 60 odd degrees; the bank was lowered for the very reason of a ride stop, but so was the speed.

There was a recent thread on ride stops and evacuations, do a thread search for more stories.

Oh, Kandi, Welcome  - a local lass I see!! :)

I've been stuck on monorail red before....halfway in and halfway out of the contemporary. Apparently a 'wind flap' on the bottom of the vehicle malfunctioned and got stuck up inside the track....whatever it was it was the most TERRIFYING shreiking noise I've ever heard. :lookaroun
I have also been stuck in SSE in the Renaissance scene. It was actually really cool, because the animatronics playing the instruments are literally each playing different things which together make a song.....man the detail!! :sohappy:

Test track- stuck for about 20 minutes right before you accelerate- so the whole "acceleration" part wasn't as cool since it didn't really do that great.
It's a small world for 20 minutes (different time...)
and Pirates, but that was like for 10 minutes max.

Test Track got stuck for us 3 times in one riding... once when doing the braking, the other time in the cold testing section and finally right before you zoom through the doors outside. The sound effects were going for all of them especially the doors outside. We were there for about 15 minutes. Thankfully when we got stuck in the cold testing section it was only for a few minutes... i'd rather be stuck there than the heat section! In the 15 or so times i have rode Test Track only once has it gone off without a hitch. Granted most of those were right after it opened.

HM has also gotten stuck for us when you go backwards down the incline. We were there for a few minutes as well.

The most interesting was when we got stuck almost at the top of Splash Mountain. We were there for a few minutes as well.

I am not sure if this is the ride getting stuck or them stopping it to let handicapped people on/off though.

I have not really been stuck for any long amout of time on any attraction, but once saw Splash Mountain get stopped and these poor people were stuck on top of the hill before the drop for at least 10 minutes. We did stop to watch when the people finally got dropped and everyone else who was watching gave them an applause. :)

Test Track: in the turns where the speeds increase by 10% etc. That dip while going 1mph hurts worse than going the normal speed.
Spaceship Earth: backwards once, right smack dab in the middle of the smell good mesquite smell
Tower of Terror: in the drop shaft. It dropped us, took us up to look outside, started to drop again and slowly coasted down and stopped at the lightning on the wall (almost bottom of shaft)
Haunted Mansion: various places
Buzz Lightyear: in the big screen section ( I spun and shot the whole 5 minutes. it was great )
Small World: boat backup
Pirates: boat backup
Kilomanjaro Safari: giraffe in the middle of the road eating leaves off tree

My wife and I got stuck last Thursday in Great Movie Ride. They were apparently training a CM or two because there was an empty car with three CMs in front of us. When we got to the Wizard of Oz scene, the CM in the car in front of us did the conversation with the Wicked Witch...pretty weird. Then when we were in the theater watching the great movie moments of the past, the CM in the other car must have fouled something up and neither of our cars could leave. She apologized to the CM running our car, so I'm guessing that they did something wrong to shut the thing down. They brought managers and maintenance people in to try to get us out. One of the managers grabbed the microphone and started telling little known facts about the ride...she had just about run out of material when they finally figured out a way to let us leave without the other car moving. Lucky for her!

Stuck on Rock n Roller coaster

A few years back I was stuck on RNRC at the midcourse brakes. They told us a sensor further down the track was malfunctioning. The interior lights were turned on and were unloaded row by row, escorted down the stairs and got to walk back up the launch tunnel to the exit area it was really an interesting experience, like a mini behind the scenes tour!

Haven’t had too many breakdowns other than the occasional ones on Splash Mountain, but once on Spaceship Earth as we were descending backwards, the ride broke down for about half of an hour without any explanation. Finally some cm’s came and helped us off, which is pretty hard to do when you’re at an angle.

im confused.................... i guess it doesnt matter.

i wish i could get stuck at the top of SSE. maybe next time. soarin would be interesting....... way up there and the lights come on, but i guess they could just let out the pressure in the hydrolics.
