Strangest Shows in the Parks

Hmm.. Disney Steps in Time (Version 2.0) that used to be at DLR. Some stange orange and red braided fairy godmother trying to help a random boy with his jealousy of his little brother by having strange people sing Broadway versions of classic Disney songs on a continually annoying white stage.

I loved Mickey Mania. I don't even know why - it was just simply bizarre. But I loved watching it. Maybe it's something along the lines of watching a bad train wreck, you can't look away.

And now I'll be singing that song for the rest of the night.

"Who's the leader of the club that's made for you and me (break it down now!)"

Absolute weirdest show ever? "Galaxy Search" at the Tomorrowland theater, back when the new Tomorrowland premiered. I would kill to have a video of it. 3 headed alien doing elvis, coneheads..'nuff said.

A very trippy one that is still going on is "cranium command" in the WoL pavillion. I dunno, something about being inside a kids brain while c list actors play his different muscles, stomach acids, etc always seemed pretty strange. Of course this is assuming you consider this a "show".

The TMNT meet and greet wasn't weird. At least it was no weirder than the Power Rangers now. I prefer the Ninja Turtles anyway, the idea was more original.

You would have figured they could have done a little more with this. Add 3 foot clan members and the shredder. Make it a show and not just the theme song and M&G.

Funny, I always rated this one of Disney's best...and still do.

I thought Splashtacular at Epcot was a pretty weird show. I don't think that one lasted very long at all, either. Best part was the creepy alien animatronic that lurked behind the bushes. The rest was...well...not so great.

Oddly enough, I was reminded of this show by watching the Galaxy Search video. The costumes looked awfully familliar, and after comparing a couple videos, I realized that Galaxy Search recycled the costumes from Splashtacular. Mickey and Minnie are the most obvious, and the dancers appear to be from Splashtacular as well, minus the flowery get-up. From one weird show to another...

Okay, after watching that video Galaxy Search tops my list! :ROFLOL:

I'd also like to add that one that featured the Kids of the Kingdom (this was in like '97 I believe) I remember they had horrible bright red/yellow/black costumes :dazzle:

And I always wondered what was up with the Goosebumps and Doug LIVE shows? I mean those seemed *really* random

I really like flights of wonder (but then we go in November when the heat isn't so bad).

I don't know if this counts as a show but the candy lady at Japan in EPCOT is pretty strange. If you have seen here you know what I am talking about. She will put you in a trance and make you watch her make candy. If she is out there the crowd just builds. Nobody ever seems to leave till shes done. I think it is her voice.
woah! i've never heard of this candy lady! it sounds so cool! where does she hang out in Japan? outside?!? we gotta check this out next time!
