Stitch's SuperSonic Celebration latest construction photos

Wow that is alot of space! I'm having a hard time placing it though... is it by the SM restrooms? I didn't know there was that much space to the right of SM?!

When did this thing get so big?! Thats really going to take up a lot of space in Tomorrowland... kinda shake my head at this.

That's what I don't get, why not put it where Galaxy Palace is? I mean call me crazy but why not put a stage where there is a stage currently? I'm sure they have a reason but the extra parking in place of the Galaxy Theatre just doesn't make sense

Perhaps this will be the new venue for Mickey's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas (in addition to the Stitch dance party) now that the Galaxy Theatre is history?

I think the MK is getting out of the large use of live entertainment except for those shows that can be held in front of the castle.

Live entertainment is becoming a staple at DHS however, which I applaud :animwink:. So I think M'sTTNBC would be a great addition at the Studios at either the newly enclosed theater or the theater on Sunset. It really is a show that should be available to all during the Holidays.:xmas:

And they could add something new to MVMCP to make up for it. Something that hopefully would not involve Stitch.

And I believe they have to close the Galaxy Theater :)hurl:) to rearrange parking so the construction crews/trailers/equipment can have room for the SM refurbishment. I am ecstatic that hideous eyesore is going....going........gone!:sohappy:

While I agree with you on saying that the show should be available to all I have to disagree with you on the live entertainment. The MK is pathetic when it comes to live entertainment and is completely unacceptable. Galaxy Palace wasn't a wonderful venue but, to cut so much live entertainment over the years (as MK has done) is ridiculous and inexcusable.

At DHS, they should hold off on having any more major live entertainment. As it stands now, the average visitor has to plan most of their whole day around the park just hopping from one theater to another. Hopefully, this will be rectified over the coming years, as I believe it is. The answer to DHS's troubles isn't more major live entertainment. IMHO

I respectfully disagree. Because of the huge numbers the MK receives it makes live shows more difficult because of the number of performances requird to meet guest expectations. So shows like MP, Castle shows and the new Stitch show in TL are designed to handle the large crowds for "live" entertainment without utterly exhausting the performers and still meeting the demand of guests.

DHS can offer a variety of truly live shows and because of the smaller crowds a manageable number of performances is required and they can offer something for everyone whether it' LMA, LM or AI etc. they have something that appeals to a wide demographic.

Just my take on it.

This was the last year for "Twas" but they are looking at some possibilities for a replacement.

From Disney's site:

Stitch's SuperSonic Celebration is a musical Tomorrowland street party celebrating "Galaxy Day" and features a live video version of Stitch interacting with Guests and a high-energy dance troupe. Come join the fun! :snore:

Then again my daughter will probably like it.

Wait...Stitch isn't actually going to be on the stage? This is an outdoor stage show, with the main character on a screen?

I don't get it.

Here is a picture of the stage and area when it's finished.

A reader sent in a small piece of art showing off the stage for the new Stitch’s Supersonic Celebration show. From the look of it, based on the placement of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority track in the background, I’m going to guess that it will be placed in the typical Tomorrowland temporary stage area between Carousel of Progress and the old Skyway building.

Uhhhh, based on those last bits of information, I really am not liking this thing too much anymore (not that I really liked it in the first place mind you).
