That's the point...we are all recruits in Heroes Duty...on the troop transport to the Game Grid...It really does write itself and would be a very fun attraction... A Jane Lynch AA would be freaking hilarious! They could leave all the existing seating and configuration...and....the best part, we now have a thematic bridge to Tomorrowland and video gaming with Tron...

Of course if they were really wanting thematic bridges; a Sugar Rush Speedway would bridge the themes from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland, well more so than a Tron overlay. Both "should" be a shoo-in. Yet here we are waiting for something(s) when this IP is a perfect two-birds-one stone fixer!

I agree 1000% about the Sugar Rush Speedway... That could have been amazing especially if they went all in on the sets...really created some of the settings from the film... It would have been a huge hit, and a hit for little girls as well.

I can't claim it. It's been mentioned a few times on the forum. Just thought it was a good companion to what @Bocabear armchaired. Both would be a welcomed addition. I'm curious what the initial WiR plans included.

Annex it into Fantasyland with the Speedway's theme transitioning from Sugar Rush to Hero's Duty nearer the Tomorrowland side to keep it kosher. Or develop a new transitional hub area "The Digital Realm" or "The Grid" etc, where guests can either queue up for this, enlist in the Hero's Duty: Troop Transport or gear up for Tron. The idea seems pretty solid to me and I'm usually against IP inclusion. The visual transitions alone should sell it.

I don’t know, there’s something about the aesthetic of Wreck it Ralph that I absolutely hate. I love the film, probably my favourite of the modern films, but I just don’t think it should have a significant place in the parks.

...or Buzz Lightyear themed laser tag. The Nemo submarine ride at DLR is still more out of place than both of those combined.

I don’t know, there’s something about the aesthetic of Wreck it Ralph that I absolutely hate. I love the film, probably my favourite of the modern films, but I just don’t think it should have a significant place in the parks.

it's an aesthetic that's all over the place, maybe? that's why i find it hard to integrate into the parks, and only a few of the characters are "futuristic" on their own accord.

I always felt SW had that futuristic feel with droids and star ships going light speed. Ironically it takes place a long time ago not in the future. I know a lot of DL purists dislike Star Tours in Tomorrowland but I think for IP it fits better than most.

Sugar Rush definitely leans into the Fantasyland vibe...hence the reason it creates a sort of thematic bridge...not straight on Tomorrowland... and putting Heroes Duty in the old Alien Encounter building makes sense since it does take place in the future...a more grown up version of Buzz Lightyear... The real outlier is Monsters Inc Laugh Floor...It REALLY should be moved to Pixar Studios section of the DHS park, and something really futuristic be put in it's place... Maybe the Astronomers Club that was once thought about for that location and have a real Table service restaurant in Tomorrowland...

It could be pretty fun to *glitch* in between lands while on the actual Speedway.

Great idea. I've also thought Buzz (rethemed) could have an exit ramp about 3/4 through that connects to the old circlevision theater.

Yeah, while it would probably be better than what's there I would still hate a Sugar Rush overlay to the speedway. As suggested a thousand times, Tron would be nice, or just the same ride with an EV upgrade.

It might seem like an obvious idea to some, but I just can’t picture how Sugar Rush as a replacement for the Speedway would work on a practical level. I feel like no matter how it would be executed, it would stick out like a sore thumb. Not that the Speedway doesn’t already clash with the rest of FL and TL mind you.

The only way I could see it working is if they were to completely gut the Speedway and build it from scratch, but if they were to do that, I’d rather something completely different go in it’s place anyway.

If someone could go further in detail about how this could actually work given what’s currently there, I’d love to hear it.
