Rumor Stitch's Great Escape Replacement— Don’t Hold Your Breath

Wow. The folks over at The Site That Shall Not Be Named must be really sensitive to what folks here and elsewhere say about them. The article about SGE starts out by reminding people that they said it would never re-open, Disney said they were wrong, and now they have been proven right. Which they actually haven't been, since nothing is yet confirmed, but whatever. Not exactly great journalistic standards to stomp your feet and say "See?!? Look at how right we were! Stop doubting us!"

That is why folks around here commonly refer to it as The Site That Shall Not Be Named or something similar. It is literally not allowed to be mentioned by name here on these forums.
Literally every article even somewhat related to something they’ve reported on before, they start with “as we told you back in [insert date and article link here]”

Hmm...
So over on his Twitter there's a tweet directly referencing to this forum and most likely this thread.
I'm not sure what @przidentkendall did but that's a shot at people asking @marni1971 if he knows anything about this latest rumor. So that person does creep around on here, doesn't surprise me. Also antiquated?:hilarious:
Anyways...

I understand why this may be removed.

The most famous IPs I can think of
- stitch (again)
- monster's inc
- wreck it ralph (might still be possible)
- inside out (highly unlikely due to large epcot presence)
- any marvel IP universal doesn't have the rights to
Stuff with Cult Followings
- alantis
- meet the robinsons
- treasure planet
Stuff that doesn't have cult followings
- the black hole
- tomorrowland
Stuff that already have their own lands
- star wars
- buzz lightyear (again)
Other
- revival of alien encounter (had the most interesting mention in mission breakout, as this was a new prop made specifically for the ride)
- an unused concept (like alien zoo for example)
- revival of another popular attraction, if they can fit it
Don’t forget Sky High

You had to remind me. (Where's the barf emoji?)
I was thinking of a certain Waste Allocation Load Lifter from Earth.
Hey what do you know!? One of the few IPs that actually fits* Tomorrowland. I'd make some smarmy remark about that being the sole reason why he isn't in Tomorrowland but I genuinely think he'll get his moment to shine, and soon. If not an attraction at least as a cameo.

I understand it now! Tomorrowland is neither a realistic or sci-fi take on the future. It’s where they put stuff that doesn’t make sense anywhere else! That explains Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, and Iron Man in Tomorrowland.
At this point, their is no going back; it's best to see Tomorrowland in a "Dr. Strangelove" point of view: Dr. IP Love or How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love The IP

I was counting the movie tomorrowland
Black hole I don't hear about much, so I'm not sure if it counts as cult just yet.
I think much of that is that it has been all but buried by the company. The only way to see it is to seek it out, either on DVD or via streaming. It isn't a film that people come across by accident and the company has no real interest in promoting it, since it was such a big financial flop and, let's be honest, has issues. I have always loved it, but I'm weird. I think if you were to ask people born after 1980 if they've even heard of the film, most of them won't know what you're talking about.

Ah, Black Hole. That was a fav of mine when I was a youngling. Appropriate for this thread too, since it's went off course into a black hole every other page.

I was born in 1998 and I’ve heard of The Black Hole  I wish I can go back in time though because I’d like to see the world in the past :)
