Starbucks coming to Disney parks

At this point, I could care less if it was Starbucks, Panera or Dunkin Donuts. Anything is better than the Nes-crap-e junk we are stuck with now.

With only only location for each park, the lines will be loooong.....

If they follow Starbucks policy it won't matter how long the line is. We have 2-3 minutes from door to door to get you your beverage perfectly ordered. If it takes any longer than that it is a staffing issue.

Starbucks at Magic Kingdom is destined to be apart of Main Street.
Epcot, Either The Land, or American Pavallion in WS
DHS will probably be streets of america
DAK, Honestly, I dont know where it would fit in.

Dinoland USA? The area is supposed to be modeled after a roadside attraction, so why not have the place featured in many roadside rest stops?

Kind of joking here, but as for AK, maybe it goes at Rafiki's Planet Watch. Playin' a name game.
The only thought which causes me to say "kind of joking here" is maybe it would draw more folks to that back area of the park.

Have you tried Ice Coffee Via? The new formula is much better than it use to be and in a pinch it is better than the stuff they give at Disney. I just grab a carton of milk from the food court and mix it in a water bottle. I also put a little chocolate milk in it as well when I want my mocha ice coffee.

When did they change the formula? My wife worked for Starbucks for over a decade and recently quit (after child #3).
I would always travel with the instant iced coffee. It's good in a pinch but not quite the same as over the counter. But it is way better than the slop they serve around the parks.

It was updated just a few weeks after the original launch actually. If you remember last spring when ice via came out it was awful. However by summer time they fixed it whet it tasted a little better but several months had gone by and many people were t willing to give ice via another try. I just remind people that it really needs milk. Via isn't something you can drink black because it is pretty bitter to me.

Haven't revisited this in a while...has anyone that's visited WDW lately seen any indication they are moving forward at any of the parks with Starbucks? Just curious...37 days and counting until we check in :)

In a recent interview of Bob Iger in BusinessWeek magazine, Iger mentioned that the new DCA Starbucks on Buena Vista Street is one of the highest grossing Starbucks in the world.

I can attest to that, as on my visits this summer the place always has big lines with about two dozen CM's behind the counter cranking out Starbucks brand drinks and pastries. The whole thing is wildly popular, and very well executed within the Disney theme park environment.

It's only a matter of time before the in-park Starbucks show up in WDW.

When I go to NYC the price of starbucks is at least 1.00 more and actually depending on the location I find different prices. I wonder if this is a snack credit on DDP???

I worked at a Starbucks in NYC (about to be a proud non-Starbucks Disney CM in Orlando) and the reason why the prices flux are because some are franchise stores and some are actual Starbucks stores. Starbucks has several price ranges and NYC and San Francisco are the two highest with LA and Seattle being right behind. The prices are decided based on the location and demand. Silly as it is higher demand for Starbucks equals higher prices.

Supply and Demand Starbucks and DIsney Style - the more the supply - the higher the demand = higher prices!!!;)

The Starbucks in Key West is about $1 highger than home in Maryland. They sort of had a Starbucks at Shades of Green but I think it is switched up a little now and now it says they serve Starbucks coffee.

It never was a traditional Starbucks but instead it was simply Starbucks coffee that they brewed themselves.

Finally, I can get a decent cup of hot chocolate in the parks. There used to be a stand in WS that had good HC but the quality went down terribly. I asked the CM to remake it...and it still tasted pretty lame. So, if Starbucks can get me good HC, I'm all for it. With all the profit they are bound to get, they can sponsor WoL.

The secret to Starbucks hot chocolate is that it has vanilla as well as chocolate so that is what makes it so much better.
