Well there was a forum member whose life was absolutely ruined because the spiders in the HM were replaced with the Escherian stair room so I will believe anything at this point.;)

Wait...THEY DID WHAT?!

Yes. It's officially NOT a Starbucks per se. It's "Main Street Bakery... Proudly Serving Starbucks Coffee."

I spoke with the gentleman that works for Starbucks and is in charge of the Disney stores exclusivley. we did not discuss the employee arrangements but Starbucks run the stores. Your statement is how it should be but not how it is. The Starbucks Disney locations are Starbucks stores.

Either they'd sell more hot dogs and it would prove to be the correct decision, or they'd sell less hot dogs and go back to the way it was.

Dollars speak louder than message board rantings. If people didn't like Starbucks at MSB, they'd stop buying it.

I love the coffee too but I also loved the bakery items. My best scenario would be a fresh hot cinamon bun with a cup of Starbucks coffee and a table to sit an eat it at.

SOME STARBUCKS CAKE FACTS--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Starbuck's Employees-Bakery Question?
Does Starbucks bake their pasteries and such on site at each location?

Or, do they have a regional center that bakes pasteries for the entire area and deliver them, or do they outsource it to someone else?

Sorry, something has gone wrong.
Answers Best Answer: Starbuck's outsources most of their food items. Some are baked locally by a baker, others are brought in.

"According to Starbucks public relations specialist Jenny Walsh, many seasonal items, such as Cranberry Bliss Bars, are made in Pennsylvania and shipped, frozen, nationwide.

Moreover, several pound cakes and the reduced-fat coffee cakes that are currently available are also shipped nationwide, frozen, by the San Antonio bakery.

However, she went on to say, in every region, a local bakery is contracted to produce baked goods using Starbucks' recipes.

That creates an even bigger mystery. One bakery in one city can turn out substandard fare. How can Starbucks' pastries be disappointing from Pacific Beach to Pawtucket? And if you don't believe that, check out the blogs and online forums where people rant about the pitiful fare." Source below:

at least Dunkin bakes their products on premisis.
Actually, very few DD still do that. The vast majority are served by central bakeries. Granted, it's not a single warehouse shipping across the country, but it's not "out of the oil, into the display case". Many DD outlets are designed with the lack of cooking facilities in mind. (Which, incidentally, goes back to my earlier point of space issues. More guest space = less cooking space = no cinnamon rolls.)

Main Street Bakery didn't either. They were made at the central bakery and brought to the store. That is why they had to use those smell cannons to make it smell like a bakery. Always remember that Disney is in the business of fantasy and making you believe something that doesn't exist.

I don't remember where I saw it, otherwise I would post the address, but, just yesterday, I believe, I saw a picture of "Walt's" Disneyland and there was a store front with a big, bright neon sign that read "MAXWELL HOUSE". So much for the "Walt would never do that" argument. By comparison Starbucks presence is extremely conservative.

No, it was confirmed by someone in a few responses earlier that they baked the items at the store.
Not having inside information I cannot argue that except to say that I think that what they did was rewarm them in the store, but they were baked in central, at least in later years. It's a small place and there was very little room to make them fresh, but, I could be wrong.
