HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THE CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP. ALL HE CARES ABOUT IS LOSING THE HOMEMADE BAKED GOODS FROM THE MSB.
And they've been using corporate sponsorships since the inception of the parks....
Policies set by Starbucks in conjunction with Disney. You can bet they have to be "Disney look," for example. This IS admittedly a little different. Coke being served at restaurants by WDW cast members in accordance with WDW policies is not the same as Starbucks employees serving Starbucks coffee at a location in WDW in accordance with policies set by Starbucks.
Then stick to that conversation. Your incessant need to tie any future sponsorship agreement into your "slippery slope" argument is little more than paranoia run amok....LORD for the last time this IS NOT A CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP, do you understand the difference, I guess not. THEY TOOK OVER THE BAKERY IT IS A BAKERY NO MORE. ITS A COFFEE SHOP WITH PACKAGED CAKES SHIPPED IN FROM A SAN FRANCISCO CO. Starbucks themselves conceded this point. They actually wanted to chang the name of the MSB but backed off that idea.

Did you know the balloon vendors aren't Disney cast members?
The article says nothing of the sort. It actually claims guest traffic was up by 4%I think you made my point, thank you. Note SALES SLOW DOWN. they serve less people due to time issues. They raised their prices to compensate hence more profits.
Sales were helped by higher customer visits, which were up 4%.
She's just trolling now anyhow. Nobody could be THAT upset by lack of fresh baked goods. The article says nothing of the sort. It actually claims guest traffic was up by 4%
Yes, we lost tasty baked goods and crappy coffee and gained medium-quality breakfast sandwiches and good coffee. I have no problem with those who prefer the former. I merely object to those making this into some kind of existential crisis about the identity of The Walt Disney Company and the soul of America.I did not, but thank you, that is interesting. However, you'll note they're not taking up residence in any buildings and causing removal of any unique merchandise or services.
Well there was a forum member whose life was absolutely ruined because the spiders in the HM were replaced with the Escherian stair room so I will believe anything at this point. She's just trolling now anyhow. Nobody could be THAT upset by lack of fresh baked goods.

MSB is the thread, but the concern is will this trend continue in WDW. Will they use the Starbucks test and continue in that direction? Will we see Nathans take over Caseys Next, and so on.
Nobody is going to backlash because people like good coffee more than good pastries.I have not seen this before in WDW so that is why I have the concern. we all know how corporate America works. call them on it now I gurantee it will be tried again unless there is a backlash from the WDW fans.
No beacuse Casey's is sponsored by Coke.
So it was never about the loss of the baked goods like you claimed over and over, but the external corporate presence in the parks. Exposed...what happens if say Nathans wants the entire operation and they will still sell Coke.

Either they'd sell more hot dogs and it would prove to be the correct decision, or they'd sell less hot dogs and go back to the way it was.what happens if say Nathans wants the entire operation and they will still sell Coke.
Yes. It's officially NOT a Starbucks per se. It's "Main Street Bakery... Proudly Serving Starbucks Coffee."As far as most reports go the Starbucks in Disney are franchised so are staffed by Disney not Starbucks. Only the Downtown Disney locations are directly run by Starbucks (https://news.starbucks.com/news/sta...mpany-owned-store-at-walt-disney-world-resort).
