Folks anything can be undone, just write to Starbucks and Disney to give us back Main Street. Apathy is the worst thing.

Unless, most people don't give a rats tail and you are the only person that finds it important. When they first announced it, what a couple of years ago now, there was a lot of protests, some of it about those damn cinnamon buns, but mostly how it would affect the looks of Main Street. When people saw the end result they realized that it really wasn't a problem and the issue died until you attempted to sap it with your bakery driven defibrillator and now it is a discussion again. Have you noticed that you are almost the only one that is that upset by it. It isn't apathy when people are not against it. It's only apathy when people are upset and don't try to fix it. Can you see the difference?Folks anything can be undone, just write to Starbucks and Disney to give us back Main Street. Apathy is the worst thing.
He is not the only one that finds this important or a big deal! There is a lot more of us that are not happy about it than you seem to realize. When this first happened there was quite a few of us that were disappointed etc. and we still are upset but stopped complaining on the boards because why when we got ridiculed when we first made a stink about it. Hearing other complaints does not a majority make! This isn't a government elected by the people where a few protests will make a difference, this is a company that is publicly owned by millions and for it to be an issue it has to be a concern of over 50% of the shares. Complaints are not anymore then pains in the posterior to them, they can and will do whatever they think will overall be better for the parks and for business. It's a done deal, unless someone comes in with a better offer and wants to remake the "old bakery", it just isn't going to happen and it surely will not happen until whatever contract/lease that has been signed expires. So everyone just relax, have a cup of coffee and a pastry. I understand they are available at the Bakery on Main Street USA. (I believe, however, that they are out of Cinnamon Rolls at the moment.)He is not the only one that finds this important or a big deal! So even if not many of us are voicing it on here anymore, does not mean we are okay with it and let it go. Just means we have stopped talking about it on here. As to why the people the OP spoke to @ Starbucks and WDW said they have been hearing this in other complaints from guests. So obviously we/OP are not the only few that feel this way.
Perfectly relaxed here....oh and no thanks I can get a Starbucks lack luster pastry down the street from my home. And again don't just miss the cinnamon rolls, miss many other items offered in the old bakery as well, and miss the seating inside also to sit down and relax.Hearing other complaints does not a majority make! I don't know... the selections look pretty good to me.

What is unique about a bakery? I pass nearly a dozen on my way to work?I know people own stock in both companies and they are doing very well right now and this clouds their judgement to some degree. I guess the apathy and blindness to this decision by some is most shocking IF YOU ARE A TRUE DISNEY FAN. How can ayone say anything mass produced, shipped frozen place in a display case, served to you take out to eat curb side and that is better than something baked fresh on site and served hot to you with a table to eat it at in comfort. MY MY have we crossed over to Disney being ordinary?
ORDINARY vs. UNIQUE so bottom line in order to get better coffee you dismantled the entire MSB operation and The Main Street concept of the home town bakery.

I think his sarcasm font isn't showing on your computer.with all due respect if you don't know the difference then I can't answer that for you.
I am sorry. I did not realize that it was privileged information requiring a higher level of consciousness.with all due respect if you don't know the difference then I can't answer that for you.
Can you please site a quote directly from Walt requiring that every Main St in the Disney parks must have a non-third party baker in it?LIke I said many times before they could have done this anywhere else but Main Street USA, it is a crime agaisnt the concept of Walts Main Street. Apathy is not one of my traits, I may lose in the end but I will at least make it known to the powers to be that I care about Disney and what they do with parks that have meant a lot to me and my family over the years. I try to appeal to those that feel the same, if you don't I understand. I guess I feel that with all the money and minds Disney has at their disposal they used very little imagination with the MSB and Starbucks project. I could have easily figured out how to make both companys and fans happy and saved the integrity of MSB on Main Street.
No, no. This just can't be. Do my eyes deceive me? Does that case have --gasp!-- Disney-baked treats on that bottom row? You clearly must've Photoshopped this...I don't know... the selections look pretty good to me.

In that case, I hope he is never thawed out. Imagine his shock when he finds out that he went against his own words when HE built Disneyland. I don't believe there was a single shop (other then the Magic Store, maybe) that was a Disney operation. They were pretty much all third party owned and operated. Perhaps under certain Disney guidelines, but, Disney would have been foolish to think that he could dictate what specific items were sold in each shop. What they had to do was match the theme of the "store", nothing else.LIke I said many times before they could have done this anywhere else but Main Street USA, it is a crime agaisnt the concept of Walts Main Street. Only a few cupcakes and cookies that you can get all over the parks..we all know about that including the OP @POLY LOVER !! 95%-98% of it is Starbucks garb! Nothing that makes it a "bakery". Nice try!! So that makes for no point at all sorry. LolNo, no. This just can't be. Do my eyes deceive me? Does that case have --gasp!-- Disney-baked treats on that bottom row?
