Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

That's interesting. If it's under the experimental rules, they would have to have flown it for 25-40 hours over non-populated areas, and for non-commercial purposes like education and personal use. I wonder how much of that got waived.
It's called a blank check and a possible 3rd party with an big lobby office in Wash DC. More common approach than what folks think.

Truth honestly lies somewhere in the middle. Obviously breakdowns are expected to an extent, but I would think you usually dont open the ride with known issues still occurring.

That said, it's also correct to state this is having much fewer issues so far than I think even the most die hard disney supporter would have thought. I'm not surprised this has raised the bar. I'm surprised it's still operating at this point.

Last part, I think it's difficult to argue disney hasnt run with a "good enough" approach on a lot of things, so I think that is where you see a lot of this skepticism on everything coming from as well.

It is not. They hope to operate at least at 1500. But it’s quite respectable for opening day.

Even if they get it up to 1500 and can keep downtime to 1 hour per day, on an average day that means that less than half of the people who visit Hollywood Studios will have a chance to ride RoTR.

(I'm assuming park hours from 9am-8pm, which is the current schedule for the week we'll be there in February, and using the most recent attendance stats I could find, from 2018, when nearly 31K people visited HS per day, on average. With Galaxy's Edge completed, the number is probably even higher now.)

A race. Among other things.

It’s about time we get back to the one-up theme park competition that hasn’t existed for a while! :D

Ahh... Mario Kart... excited to see how that one is pulled off... when Marni mentioned Epic and Orlando specifically, I was thinking he was referring to an Orlando exclusive, but if they are spending a ton on development to make a ride on par with RotR, makes sense it would be the main ride they are putting in all the Mario lands.

Exactly. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the layout of Galaxy's Edge allow for the possibility of a drone traversing the land without going over guest areas?
It would certainly lend context to the random spaceship sounds being played in the Imperial First Order section.
