Glad they're returning to the PPH averages they were reaching back in end of December/early January....must mean the First Order is losing too many of their prisoners...

(Half of) one day isn't really enough info to make a statement like that. Unless they figured out some sort of magic fix.

It was kinda a joke lol, but yea. We need a bigger sample size. It’s been steadily increasing day-by-day, so crossed fingers it continues!

In other news, first downtime of the day, started around ~12:35pm

Could just be my old phone. If I turn off and turn back on my iPhone 7s too soon, when it comes back up double clicking the home button shows the full complement of programs I had open before are still up in the background. I’m not saying that it’s necessary to keep the phone turned off for a full 5-10 minutes to avoid that (I’m guessing a couple of minutes would probably be sufficient), that’s just the routine I’ve fallen into and having it off completely for awhile keeps me from getting antsy seeing other people playing with their phones and de-stresses me knowing I’ve got everything I need to do done and can just turn the phone on a few minutes before opening and have my group in short order.

That said, when we submit our findings to the journals for publication, I’m all for a collaborative title. The challenge will be figuring out who gets their name first! 😜

I request you try MY method, just like I pivoted from Fresh to Demarke. Your pivot is much less of a paradigm shift.

And once it’s successful, I expect you......

Aloha, Hope it's cool to ask this here. We will be visiting DW the last weekend in April. Going to do MK one day and HS one day.
Originally we were going to do MK on Friday and HS on Sunday. Getting on Rise of Resistance is a major desire. Any strong opinions on if either day is better to visit either park? Thanks!

Not really. Every group that was given out was called, that’s called managing expectations and under promising and over delivering. Anyone who got a group got to ride, so guests are happy.

Guests aren’t monitoring a line thinking “hey they could have given out more groups and the ride is closed so I’m gonna be mad.“

And by varying the starting group and ending group each day, there’s no real way for people to easily track how many are given out and how many people get through. Clever and sneaky by TDO 🤩😜🤩
On pace to hit group 106 by 4pm today...……Think people will be frustrated if they close down ROTR at 4pm today when park closes at 8pm?

Unfortunately this didn’t work!

First ride last Thursday we were in the straight/left hall and the first room you hit. My family was red/blue and we saw side AT-AT.

Just now we had the same hall, but the second (far) interrogation room. We got put on orange/silver so I thought we were good to go. But once again we got side AT-AT.

So, is it randomized? Or is it different by room (not hall)?
Hmm, that’s odd. In all of my encounters the left hallway has been orange/silver front AT view and red/blue right hallway.

I’m on a cruise and just getting service for the first time all week, but it looks like ROTR is having a decent day. I’m only in mild withdrawals.

Have I told you lately that I 👍 you?

I think it must be randomized (or at least some method I’m missing). I think I was four different colors in my first five times (sometimes front car and sometimes rear) and got side view every time. Has anyone paid close enough attention to know if the colors on the vehicles are always the same? (eg. this morning red was front vehicle, back row, is it always assigned that way or could it just as likely be one of the rows in the back car the next time?)

Game on! I’ll try the instant off/on next time and report back whether it seems to make any difference, will try to make it tomorrow morning because with the crappy corral assignment I got for the 10k, even finishing under an hour may not get me to the HS gate in time Saturday!

@fishbisquit - if you have park hopper and are doing an Epcot day, you could always also try for a BG that morning and hop to Epcot, assuming a two hour window is in effect. It’s not the most ideal thing since it could interfere with a FP or a reservation, but if nothing in Epcot is a dealbreaker to miss for you, HS is only a 15-20 minute Skyliner ride away.

Go to HS on the first day. Then if you luck out you can always try again.

DCBaker, question for you...…..…..Group 102 was called prior to 4pm...…….Seems like either the ride is down or they only issued 102 BG's today and they are done calling groups today...……..Any thoughts? Would they really call the last group 4 hours prior to park closing?

Generally I do a reboot 7:45 and then just sit at home screen until 7:57 and then load MDE.

I like the idea of the phone having multiple minutes to be connected to my cellular service before I even load MDE.

I'm not in the parks today, so I can't see if the ride is down/line has been closed. I would expect this to just be a pause in calling groups (as what happens when the ride goes down) and would be surprised if that was it for the day.

Agreed, that’s why I do the turn on 5-6 min in advance and start the app 2-3 before, I think you just go long on the connection to cell service step and I go long in the phone off part, otherwise essentially the same idea and process.

Just saw it move from 88-102 to now 89-102, so I'm assuming movement.
That means nothing really. As soon a BG gets called, it automatically has a 1 or 2 hour countdown to it. As soon it runs out, it pops itself from the current queue/roll call, even if the ride is down. That's why there are certain situations where they're calling nothing at the current moment, because the ride has been down >2 hours and all the BGs called times have run out. Disney will eventually recall the group again once the ride reopens tho.
