At 2 pm I got group 75 and it’s labeled As backup. Is that normal? Apparently operations are struggling today.
It is and they are.

So then attempting 2 PM is somewhat risky it seems. It is and they are.

So, if you are there for the 10 am ticket drop, it seems that IF you get a BG, you will get a ride. I guess that begs the question, what percentage of a weekday crowd at the park trying for those tickets gets them. 50%, 80%..?
I’m surprised this is still an issue. The park has a much smaller crowd. Are they only putting one group per car? So, some go out with literally 1 person?
I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the ticket price for a short day, no guarantee on the big ride, and no M&Gs or Fantasmic. I’m leaning heavily to NO. I’m a massive Star Wars fan, and was very underwhelmed with SR, as most are now that Reality has taken over the craziness.
One other question, I’m assuming a GAP, or whatever they’re called now does not get you a RotR ride without a BG?
When is Disney going to decide to actually do things to mAke people want to give them money?
Not a bad educated guess. Your overall park guess is a bit high thoughbut I'm going to take an educated guess that Rise can't be accommodating more than an average 5,000-6,000 guests in a given 10 hour day..
So then attempting 2 PM is somewhat risky it seems.
Anyone know the average success rate a guest has of getting a spot? I planned two separate days of being in HS during my trip in October. On my first day, plans for no breakfast ahead of time. Yes, I'll time my entrance to parking for 9:15, etc.
Has been down again for just under an hour, so unless things turn around, it will be very close.
I think they send out push notifications whether your group won’t be called about ~2 hours before park closed. At least that’s what I’ve experienced myself and seen from others.
If you don’t get one, it’s a safe bet they will call your backup BG.
Yep, just got the message. Which is sort of weird because there’s only 18 groups ahead of me and still 2.5 hours until closing.

ah well. I’ll try again soon.Ugh, sorry! It went down for another 45 minutes and just started calling again.
Aww dang! They were having so many good days recently that it had to poop the bed today out of all days! Hope you get to try again and experience it soon!!ah well. I’ll try again soon.
Were they running two RVs or one RVs per dispatch? I saw some videos from today that they’re only running one every cycle. So went today and went like this... 10am - YAY! Got boarding pass. 1:10 - BOO! Got called, ride went down 1:45 - YAY! Ride is back up - everything except probe droid display working (also, I'm sure its me, but it seems the cars are going faster between sequences). BOO! - Ride goes down, but I'm already back into the unload area but not quite at unload. YAY! They gave me a fast pass anyways. YAY! Used it at runaway railroad instead LOL
First time rider. I have a party of 5. Should I try to reserve them all at once or in two smaller groups? We are going on 9/22, a Tuesday, and expect the crowds to be down a little with school back in session.
Due to a recent update, as long as your party are all linked to you in MDE and have tapped passed the turnstiles into the park, they will be auto-selected and included in your boarding group when you complete the virtual queue process.
