Right on. I weighed HS against what I'd be doing at Epcot. I enjoy all the rides at HS except Aliens. At Epcot, Test Track and Soarin were the only rides of interest to me. And with a partially shuttered World Showcase, I didn't see much value there right now.

Either way, it's probably not a great sign for Disney that there are guests writing off entire parks as not worth the price of a ticket.

Yep. I'd do Epcot over DHS solely for Spaceship Earth (even in its current state), Living with the Land, and the aquarium. I like Soarin' too (Test Track 2.0 looks worse than both of the previous rides in that space, but it still looks fun and I haven't been on it yet). Normally the World Showcase would be a big plus over DHS as well, but as you said, it's a shell of its normal self at the moment with so much closed.

Basically just personal preference. As you said, neither park is exactly a stellar destination at the moment when that's your only option for the whole day.

Also, I think I already brought it up in another thread, but the Rise preshow spacing was reworked to incorporate another group (formerly 6, now 7 groups). This was made possible by the installation of plexiglass in the central pillars of the ITS, rework placement in the briefing room, and contributions by viewers like you. Thank you

Here is a look at the plexiglass in the pillars, although I think when this was taken earlier this month it was still at 6 groups.

One of our team was turned away on 3 occasions for arriving a minute before 9:15. It is annoying, because the turn around then puts you about 100 cars back by the time you return.

Really there is no advantage to be gained by arriving prior to 9:15am, so in my view, not worth the risk of being turned around.

I’ve arrived between 8:55am-9:05am so far with no issues. Always cars ahead of me (5-15) and never saw anyone turned away. Almost every time a CM is outside standing there promptly at 9am with a countdown sign starting at 15 minutes 🤩

Correct. The new spacing would have the woman in the center on the other side of the plexiglass, and then a new dot in the middle of the ship against the back plexiglass. The rest of the dots remained roughly where they were.

Haven't followed this thread for a while. For the 2 PM drop, I just have to be in the park before then, right? Is there a surge of crowds entering for 2:00 PM? Also does this mean less of a chance of actually getting on compared to 10 AM?

Right, you'll want to make sure you're tapped into the park before 2pm.

demand seems fairly equal across the 2 times. @DCBaker reports on them daily, and they are both typically around 10 - 15 seconds.

When I was there 2 weeks ago I left the park around 1:45 and there was literally *no one* coming in the gates. Maybe half a dozen people working their way towards entry.

I imagine the biggest risk you take relying on the 2pm drop is if the ride is in a fickle mood that day, it’s possible they wouldn’t get to your higher group number. I get the impression that even on bad days (aside from that one day that it never opened), they usually work through at least the 10am groups. If I only had one shot at it on one day, I wouldn’t risk it. As an AP, it’s not a bad alternative... but I’d much sooner be done and gone before the afternoon heat and storms.

As usual, probe droid laser is still down.
Kylo w/ lightsaber also now down and in B-mode in Track A -- he just drops down instead.
Track B is still in A-mode as you can hear the slight sound from it.
Livestream earlier w/ embedded timestamp:

Also, from various reports, but there seems to be still audio issues after the main encounter with the stormtroopers.
Lt. Bek and the background music just cuts and it's an awkward silence w/ just the blaster noises.
This is confirmed to have occurred since after the weekend since Kylo AA is in A-mode (came back online on the weekend) in various POVs featuring said audio issues.

So, if you are there for the 10 am ticket drop, it seems that IF you get a BG, you will get a ride. I guess that begs the question, what percentage of a weekday crowd at the park trying for those tickets gets them. 50%, 80%..?

I’m surprised this is still an issue. The park has a much smaller crowd. Are they only putting one group per car? So, some go out with literally 1 person?

I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the ticket price for a short day, no guarantee on the big ride, and no M&Gs or Fantasmic. I’m leaning heavily to NO. I’m a massive Star Wars fan, and was very underwhelmed with SR, as most are now that Reality has taken over the craziness.

One other question, I’m assuming a GAP, or whatever they’re called now does not get you a RotR ride without a BG?

When is Disney going to decide to actually do things to mAke people want to give them money?
