Of course you can leave and come back. You’ve been able to do that since day 1.

Much better today than yesterday. My group 78 was cancelled so I got the FP for today. I have to say it worked very well. Since I had done the 7am thing yesterday, it was nice to know I could go anytime today to ride it. Got there at 1:10, walked right on and was exiting the ride at 1:40. No hiccups and the ride seemed to be fully operational. I was surprised the FP line wasn't packed. I sure don't know what the issues were Friday but glad they seemed to work through them.

Probably the last time I ride it while they do boarding groups though. It's just such an event to get a boarding group.

Didn't say they did. They improved it and the process is likely to be continued. Eisner built the original version.

Pixar Pier is not an improvement.

Proof please. Pretty sure the surveys disagree. Still there is room for improvement no doubt. But Star Wars and Galaxy's Edge were made a priority.

Just to clarify, based on your initial post: you don't run to Rise of the Resistance to get in line. You must tap into the park before official opening time, log into MDE (the Disney app) precisely at official park opening and attempt to join a boarding group via the app. If and when you do that, you'll be notified by the app when your group is called, and will then have 2 hours to report and join the line. There is no standby line and no need to run anywhere at rope drop (except to other attractions besides RoTR, as desired). Once you join the line when your boarding group is called, the wait should be reasonable.

Of course, that's assuming that the morning routine will be the same when you visit as it currently operates, but it could change radically. Keep checking these forums for up-to-date information.

You have to have been scanned in. Unconfirmed if you could tap in and then leave before 7 and get a group. But I would be inclined to think that’s possible.

Based on what I read. Once you get a group you can leave. If your group is called then you get 2 hours to return.

Yes, I took the question as “could I tap into the park at 6:30, go somewhere else, and then still be eligible for a pass right at 7.” I honestly don’t know if anyone has tried that but I think you’d probably be okay. Or just wait till you get a group just to be safe.

Someone said the way Kylo's saber cuts into the the elevator, as in the direction the cut starts and ends , is the opposite way in Disneyalnd than how it appears in DisneyWorld

The layout of the queue is indeed different due to the two lands slightly not being the same shape at the Resistance end of the land.

Extremely minor difference I noticed from ride videos - the Kylo Sabers at DL cut through the ceilings in the direction opposite of their corresponding elevators at DHS.

If the Left Elevator at DHS has the saber cut right to left, the Left Elevator at DL cuts left to right. And vice-versa, and so on . . . #MinorDifference
