Resorts guests with young kids dont........and guess what? they are the ones buying the hotel rooms.........you can complain until you're blue in the face, but this will have some incentive for resort guests to ride sooner rather than later
Okay but in your scenario (with EMH open with BG’s ahead of time, before normal park open) the family with the kids still aren’t showing up early anyway. That argument loses its drive right there.

We get it, you feel disenfranchised so everything should change to accommodate your specific needs. It's not going to happen.

Yes, the attraction will eventually get FP+ and then I expect people to complain that they can never get a FP and some accommodation should be made for that. Or there are too many Tier 1's so they can't pick what they want and they'll want accommodation for that or something else. Some people just feel they are 'entitled' to things.

No it doesnt........The point someone was making earlier was that official park hours said "open at 8am" but Disney was opening it at 5:30 to alleviate the crowds for security purposes and then in turn opening BG's so when guests came at 8am, it was gone and they didn't know how it worked.. EMH for HS would be 8am and regular park opening at 9am...........very reasonable for resort guests
That hasn’t been a thing in a week now. I think we can stop beating that dead horse. Resort guests can show up at open now and get in a good BG position, while still having their slinky FP they grabbed 60 days ago ready to go.

And they SHOULD NOT start at the same time for resort guests and general public. Considering there is NO EMH for ROTR, resort guests are getting NOTHING for this attraction. They should at least get access to boarding passes prior to the general public. Considering what they charge for staying on site and the fact this attraction is not included in EMH...
Thats what happens with a hot as hell attraction that isn’t running near capacity. Or maybe it should just make them stop and think about paying what they pay to stay onsite.
Fastpass is coming, whether you like it or not, its just a matter of time
Don't hold your breath for now.

It already really is paid.........Resort guests 7 day park hopper+ ticket costs about the same as AP renewal rates with only 7 days of availability. That same resort guest is also obviously paying for hotel room, food at prob 10x the rate of a local, merch at higher frequency, transportation (mini vans) and a bunch of other add on's.........I dont know why the local AP holder would expect to have the same access as that guest.......And they dont on every other ride and they wont on ROTR
Riiigghhht.

Am I the only one who is a little nervous about MaxPass?
Maxpass is completely different. Unless they rolled back the early FP booking (which would be even less incentives to stay onsite) all it allows is for fastpass bookings day of on your phone rather than showing up to the kiosks, like the pre FP+ days used to be.

I don't see it ever coming to WDW, at least not in it's current form, but I rather enjoyed MaxPass when I visited Disneyland back in June.

Changes to the WDW FP system are slowly creeping forwards still.

If you are willing to argue about having to get up early one time for 3 weeks straight instead of spending just two of those hours to get up just a little early to ride the super hyped brand new attraction, perhaps you may need to reevaluate where the fault lies.

Do your daily responsibilities and goals take a back seat to sleeping in as well?
