Thanks for the quick reply!
I'll tell you how we did it and maybe some of it helps you.

My family hit Disney Springs the day before the early rise for DHS so we would be ready for it. We had an early dinner and were in bed at 8pm. Kept us fresh for early start. If you have your own car use it and don't rely on Disney transit that day. Once everyone is in the park it may take 2 minutes for the Disney app to recognize all of you in. Bring your power cable to charge phone incase you have a long day and your battery drains too fast.

Most important, have fun and enjoy the ride... It is totally awesome and immersive.

The part that's misleading is the "everyone that wants to ride it should be able to". It's a somewhat arbitrary bar, that's all. I mean if I go into the Magic Kingdom I may want to ride 15 things, but I probably don't leave unhappy if I only ride 12. With a new ride, the demand is substantially higher and the first ride on that new ride isn't the same as the 50th ride on Tower of Terror.
Of course it’s an arbitrary bar.

I also said once it’s running at capacity, which it isn’t.

Dang. That's a bummer for those staying at the Skyliner resorts.
Interesting if true. Would/Did they not offer buses for the time where the skyliner wasnt open yet? Cant imagine quests being too thrilled if they find themselves in the disney resort that isnt offering transportation at the same time others are

I'm sure this has already been asked several times and I apologize, but how long do we expect the boarding groups to be used?
My guess is when one of these happen, whichever happens first: a) ride stops breaking down so often b) attendance for the ride goes down (by down I mean, to long but manageable queueing times - EDIT for more clairity: current FOP lines for example)

Not going to happen for a while. FoP is still 3-4 hours midday and it's been 2 and a half years now
Edited since it wasn't clear: I think FOP lines while still long are less long than what this would be had they not used boarding groups, so I think when the crowds go down to FOP levels they might start issuing FP+
Edit: just to be clear, I'm not advocating FP+

Yup, and also told me over the phone.

Really? When?

Only people who have had VIP tours booked for the next couple of months were phoned and told very clearly that RotR would not be included but Smuggler’s Run would be. Although SR can only be ridden once during a VIP tour at the moment.

You have a choice whether to cancel or not. Why not wait until much closer to the time and see what happens?

By that point, they’ll have to bring in archaeologists to unearth a “Fastpass queue” made by a doomed ancient people. Hopefully Nick Cage is still around.

What I can tell you is that currently those who are booking Club Level paid FPs for around the time the Runaway Train ride opens in early March, are not able to book Fos for either Galaxy Edge rides nor the Train ride.

Of course they could add FP for these rides before the 60 day window opens, but right now it looks as if they do not intend to use FPs for the foreseeable future.

1. Word of mouth about how good this ride is and it’s worth the wait

2. People now know how this virtual queue thing works

3. Holidays coming up

4. People now know park is opening sooner than advertised

All of this has caused not only a sustained level of crowds but I’d say MORE people than the first 2 days.

I noticed an uptick in people on Day 3 (Saturday) and just attributed it to weekend crowds. Looking back, I think it’s a combo of the above 🤩

Exxactly! Disney is only making this situation worse and worse by pushing the official opening earlier, pushing the actual secret opening earlier, and still allowing people to park early when they have the power to stop them from doing it.

Driving yourself is always faster than relying on Disney transport. You set your time and go right to your destination. No additional stops along the way.

Honestly the few times I've been on a Disney bus, it's a really really painful process.
I bet the Skyliner from CBR to Studios or CBR to Epcot could beat driving
