So? If we expect there will be issues, why would it be a problem? The day shouldn’t really matter.
So...something like that shouldn't happen on opening day. I get it, stuff happens sometimes. sometimes AA's go down. sometimes rides break down and need evacs. sometimes $hit happens, someone has to deal with it, and who you gonna call? I get it. :). My point is on opening day it hurts the show and is a bad show for those guests who experienced the ride when the AA was down. It's like its opening night on a broadway play and the star twists her ankle and you get the understudy on stage when you paid for the star.

Those who saw the show with a broken AA, are probably experiencing the ride for the first time ever and while other things may work it sticks out like a sore thumb and leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Not like they can get right back in line and go on it again. Disneyland has had a month or so longer to get most of the bugs out that DisneyWorld didn't have time to. Disneyland should have fewer issues than Disneyworld's version due to the longer time to get it up and running. I just think it sucks for someone to see a show without all the parts working on opening day. sure they still loved the ride but it kinda sucks when not everything is working. not like the ride has been working for 3 months now and the AA went down. Thats just a off thing. but it is opening day for crying out loud.

This conversation about the AA being down has lasted way way way longer than the actual downtime.

Group 108 is up, that’s amazing! And 3.5 more hours to go!? What a good day for the first riders at Disneyland Resort.
just wait until the shuttle goes down and they skip the preshow entirely and escort people right through a cast member door into the star destroyer. that convo will be longer.

Woof! Well, seeing as they already often queue people backstage in the empty lot (probably has a Batuu “For Sale Sign: Restaurant Space”) at Falcon, who can say they’re surprised here?

I'm 35 and can afford Disneyland. Most college kids in the area have APs. Disney doesn't need to sell Disneyland to grandparents.

None of my friends in college are interested in Disney's Star Wars. And when I lived in Anaheim, none of my friends where enthusiastic about Galaxy's Edge. Not saying it doesn't have it's fans... But it's not just a simple issue of age.

And most people I've seen who are into Disney star wars are under the age of 15.

Well, Kylo is my favourite SW character. The new trilogy has some big problems, but TLJ is still one of my top SW films.

I know tons of people who know SW because of the new films. I teach 7th grade and they care more about Finn and Poe than Han Solo.

Also wondering about this...
No expert. I've just been following the WDW ROR, but I believe that multiple people can have their group in multiple phones, all trying for a BG. After one phone gets a BG, the others are sent a message that they're already in a group.
