Seems like the new thing to do on Twitter. Post when you’re in line for the new Disneyland Star Wars Ride and it breaks down.

Today is the third day in a row where the ride has really struggled. It's neck-and-neck right now with Friday as the worst day ever. Disneyland is open 8am to Midnight today and the ride didn't open until 9am this morning and then has had about six hours worth of break downs and worked for about three hours so far.
Here's today so far as the green line, with yesterday as the red line and Friday as the blue line.

This just won’t do come June.Twitter is full of those now! A close second is photos of the lines to get into the park just before 8am, like this one taken last Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning!!!
>>As one of our reporters waited in line for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance this afternoon, she and other guests were subject to ongoing power outages within the ride’s queue, leaving guests in near pitch darkness at times.
It looks like the ride made a miraculous comeback tonight. I'm guessing all vehicles are back online as they got the pace back up, hopefully they can keep it that way and have high throughput again this week like they did the week before last.
Hi. I’ve been following this thread for a couple of weeks. I’m a long time WDW passholder, and will be making my second ever trip to DL in about a week. I haven’t attempted Rise Before Dawn on this coast as looking at the pictures & reading the accounts from DHS during the first few weeks completely turned me off. (Not interested in fighting the traffic, getting a parking space, etc to attempt this.). That being said, I figured I’d try my luck in DL. We’re staying in the Grand Californian and plan on taking advantage of extra magic hours. (DCA on March 2 & DL on March 3). I know from reading first hand accounts that it seems one of the best places to play the RBD lottery is near the entrance, outside next to the train station. Since we have early access to the park, I really don’t want to waste my time sitting at the train station for an hour with the sea of humanity waiting for the stroke of park opening to attempt the lottery. I’m pretty sure we can get in 3-4 rides in that hour & I don’t want to waste that time. From the touring plan we have we should probably be somewhere in the vicinity of fantasyland / Tomorrowland. I’m thinking I need not to be inside a building, be watching the atomic clock for the stroke of 9 am, open up the app at 8:59.30, and wait to hit “find out more” right at 9 am. I got a brand new iPhone 11 for Christmas (so my phone processing speed is good) & my call phone carrier runs on AT&T towers. I know that it’s suggested to use my cellular data rather than the park wi-fi. Are there any spots beyond the front of the park where my chances might be a little better?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
9:20: All boarding groups gone within 15 minutes. Got a backup boarding group as soon as I got in. The ride started calling groups around 9:14
They really seem to do better when the park opens at 9am instead of 8am. Today Disneyland is open 9am to 11pm, and the ride was only late opening by 15 minutes instead of the usual hour delay with an 8am opening.
Has there been any reports about what constitutes the most breakdowns? Is it just constant power failures? Is it the wifi system? Is it a combination of factors? What is Disney doing to resolve these defects?
Why does anything need twelve hours of maintenance every night? What is so poorly built and engineered that they have to spend half a day fixing it for the last three months? Seems like Disney should be suing the subcontractors that built this ride if that is the case. Look at all the negative press they are generating. However the competition is having their best year ever since the opening of DCA.MiceChat's column today says they need about 12 hours of maintenance every night. That may explain why the weekends are more problematic.
If that's the case, then it is even worse - by DESIGN they created a ride that can't operate a full day when the park is open 8 am to midnight. Brilliant. It's not just maint. They're including the closing procedures the Operations teams have to do after closing then it gets handed over to their maint. Then before they can open the ride up for people thathe operations teams have to do their presafety checks as well. So all in all it can take up to 12 hour turn around.

How are the closing/opening procedures for operations any different from any other ride? How long does it take to open and close? It's not just maint.
