Not sure how accurate my source is but they've told me that the elevator lift to the second floor will take place during the AT-AT scene... starting from their feet and then suddenly launched up to be at eye level..... They claim this rise upwards will be a mission breakout style launch but take that with a grain of salt... Not sure how the descend down will be but I remember reading somewhere a while back that it will be a "controlled" drop..... I've also heard that the unload station will partly be outdoors.... I've tried to check photos of the model to confirm but have a hard time. Maybe @marni1971 could confirm or deny?:)
The AT-AT has a hatch on it's side that some Stormtroopers will fire at us from.
The controlled drop is believed to be our descent back to Batuu from the Star Destroyer.
The unload is in the large cylinder structure (which does have an open face)

From article "In 2019, Disney World and Disneyland will open matching 14-acre “lands” called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. On one lavish attraction, guests will board an Imperial Star Destroyer, where roughly 50 animatronic stormtroopers await in formation".

Can anyone confrim 50 animatronic stormtroopers.... ?

if true wow!

Well the rumor from over a year ago was that there’d be over a hundred animatronics in the whole attraction.

I’m also very interested in the “multiple preshows” aspect.

We know there will be a “preride” preshow (taking the shuttle up to the Star Destroyer), but before that one, I wonder if there will be any “standing in a room watching something happen” (e.g., ToT, CTX, RnRC) style preshows.

My guess is that there will have to be at least one of those, to explain to us what’s going on before we board the shuttle. It would be cool if it included special effects and/or other interesting visuals, making it really part of the experience (rather than just a setup), and this extending the overall “attraction time” even more.

Also, I suppose the area where we exit the shuttle and enter the transport would be considered another preshow room (and apparently an impressive one at that).

Something to think about- do you think Disney will have posted wait times outside the park for this (for the people who arrive without having the app)? Because I’m sure all rides are going to see their wait times spike, and instead of having an obscene amount of people at DHS, seeing what the rides’ wait times are in the afternoon might get some people to go to another park.

I don’t think this would happen
They re not going to deter people from entering the park so that they lose money
