The color seems odd in that construction photo. Does that look like a render to anyone else?

Somewhat screen based, somewhat set based, somewhat animatronic based, and somewhat kitchen sink based.

This is what happens when WDI tries and then gets the budget to go along with it.

There has always been the will. It's the way that's been holding them back from their A game in recent history.

What's interesting is the renders appear to be OT AT-AT's. Since this is "Escape from the First Order," I would think they'd have updated designs like the Troopers, Ties and Star Destroyers. Of course, they also likely just used the OT design to obscure what the FO AT-AT's look like.

They do it with Dumbo. It works pretty well as far as I know.

But Dumbo isnt an immensely popular ride with staggering capacity.. is it?

Agreed. But I think this was released because after a week of seeing the AT-ATs being put together on the ground, the SoCal fans were seeing all sorts of photos and videos like this one the past few days.

Rather dramatic imagery seen by 10,000 parking cars per day at the Disneyland parking structure...


It probably helped that WDI is in SoCal and could turn around a quick CGI video fast for the Communications team. But honestly, after a week of seeing towering AT-ATs from the main parking structure, they HAD to say something.

No. Vehicles will be pre programmed. But the programmed route won't take guests between the legs. They'll come close but not pass through them.
