Considering the land has a strong influence of the newest trilogy I can't see them being costumes from the original trilogy...

I don't have any hard facts to bring to the debate but I think there is a reason they stopped painting grand arts theater several months ago. Here is the latest aerials showing no further progress on painting the side facing SWL. it has been this way for several months (6+)View attachment 352580

Way back I wondered with how it seems to have been grayed out based on sitelines not from in the land, but the area behind it making me wonder if an overflow queue could be placed in that back area.

What kind of restraints can those seats have? It looks like a single seatbelt with no armrests. If that’s the case, how much motion can the pod have? Wouldn’t even something as dramatic as the tilt early in the original ST - as you fall into the off limits area - be too risky for Disney Legal?

Star tours only has seatbelts. I believe the experience is quite similar.

On the Twitter, it's a CM Star Wars Land Preview event at Disneyland tonight, Pacific Time. So photos should be online late early morning Wednesday, Pacific Time.

Yes, but in ST you are also secured by armrests, which also allows guests to brace. These seats are movie accurate but also seem to allow for a lot of guest movement.
