Ah, I forgot to mention that I was talking about the Falcon itself that you can look around. Not the Smugglers Run ride. I think it was a few months ago they said that you can step aboard, look around, sit in the cockpit and even play the chess-like game. Would have helped if I specified.

So you really think it may go way over 35-40k?? I wonder how many the park will allow in. I wonder how much the attendance went up when Toy Story Land opened.

As part of the pre-show area for the MF:SR you'll be able to spend a limited amount of time in the various areas of the Falcon, sort of like holding areas before you're called by a CM to board your cockpit. You won't be boarding the Falcon replica in the land, although that would have been a much better entrance for the attraction IMO.

Maybe the compartment is already occupied?

So @marni1971 or @Magic Feather - any idea if the sightline issues from Slinky Dog Dash into the land will be addressed? Most notably, some of the spires on sticks in the background have the sticks visible from Slinky Dog.
Haven't been, but if trees haven't been moved into position yet, that could help. If they're already there, I doubt Disney will be doing anything. Cars land has issues from Mickey's Fun Wheel, for example.

Disney seems to often adhere to the principle that sightlines from on board attractions can adhere to more “flexible” rules than sightlines from all other guest-accessible locations (walkways, queues, seating areas). I’ve always thought the reasoning for this was a mix of practicality (the cost of preserving on-ride sightlines for certain attractions is very high) and the fact that people on board rides are thought to be so absorbed with the ongoing experience (especially if there’s a thrill element) thst they will not be very affected by sightline issues.

Considering this, I think it’s quite possible that the sightline issues will remain. Hopefully they’ll add more trees or the trees will eventually shroud the bad sightlines as they grow.

They’re aware. I don’t know what or even if the solution will be.
Here's the best shot of the 2 from Slink. Assuming it won't throw off the perspective in Galaxy's Edge, some taller trees planted on the berm closer to Slink seem like they would help quite a bit. It doesn't look like they're done with the berm quite yet as there is still a lot of dirt.

Edit: In fact, it appears that the only area on the berm that hasn't been finished is this particular area right here. I'm thinking they're waiting for a different species of trees to plant here.

Honestly, I’d rather them theme/cover up the green building that you face head-on during the second launch. That’s far more of a headache to me than Star Wars will ever be.
