Can you provide a link to this?
Not as such no. I admin a UK based FB group on Florida holidays and there has been a number of posts today from members saying they can't book in October. It's a closed group so I can't share posts out of it and I am also conscious that I don't want to involuntarily break any forum rules by naming my FB page. I don't know if it's just overseas where bookings have been stopped and making a link to SW:GE could just be clutching straws but I thought it could be a possibility.

Ok, I thought you were the official Disney Facebook page.

I just tried to book online and can't book past 12/31/2018.

There are no rules against posting links to information other sites. There are one or two sites that cannot be linked to from here, but If you post the link it will simply be removed so there is no concern for breaking rules.

I've tried the official UK WDW holidays website for a test. You can book up to the end of September but Oct-Dec is out, when apparently before today you could book up until the end of 2019.

There is one week in October where there is genuinely no availability on Virgin, TUI or the UK Disney site, for moderates and deluxe resorts, which happens to coincide with the Scottish half term week, and the week before the English half term.

That is likely the Gartner IT Convention week. The UK Disney site, plus Virgin and TUI all have availability in some mods and deluxes for all other weeks. Sounds like maybe, possibly, some FB members are exaggerating things just a wee bit. (shocker eh?):rolleyes:

There’s a reason this show scene is the height of the building ;)
Awesome!! With that in mind, I wonder when the elevators will play into the ride. For example, we travel about half the first floor, then go up, travel the whole second floor, and then down to travel the rest of the first floor? That'd be my guess.

I hope the AT-AT scene is the first elevator, that way it really gets you enveloped from the beginning. I also don't think they'd be unveiling so much of a finale scene already. That said, Disney being unpredictable is an understatement.

The finale is quite clever, has practical as well as artistic uses, and takes is design from a few other attractions.

Aside to hide it from exterior onstage, no reason.
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking, but my reasoning might be wrong.

I remember an article said that we’d be leaving the Star Destroyer in an escape pod. My current theory is that the unload station (curved structure) is the crashed escape pod. Obviously they’d want to keep that hidden for story reasons. Am I on the right track here?

I took a look around but wasn't able to find the answer -- have we discussed the ride lengths for Alcatraz and Big Bird? With Alcatraz having such an enormous show building I'd like to imagine it's a Disneyland Pirates-type 15 minute sweeping epic, but these days that seems unlikely . . .

Those new AT-AT pics show an open panel of some sort on the further walker. Could be a spot for showcasing droids, Stormtroopers to be firing at you or a weapon?
