Can't believe no one's talking about the amazing Alcatraz pre-show! The experience and plot were all but revealed tonight.

Basically, we're boarding a Resistance Transport Ship for a Star Tours-esque experience. Somewhere between Batuu and our intended destination we're captured by the First Order and brought aboard a Star Destroyer. The ship doors open on the other side and suddenly we're in space on a Star Destroyer!

@marni1971 & @Magic Feather Sound about right?

For real. It basically sounds like we board the transport, and then we end up on board a First Order ship where we will be queued up and thrown on board those transports to be taken to wherever they are holding us/torturing us/doing whatever they want with us.

Such a cool attraction coming!

Star Tours-esque is a bit of a stretch. I’ve littered plenty of clues through this thread to help fill in the blanks ;)

Thanks for the new pics and info!

So is that U-Wing+Corellian Corvette lovechild the Resistance transport that kicks off the Battle Escape ride?

Only one of the words in that, other than nixing “Star Tours- esque” is a bit off.

Justice League made $650 mill worldwide? Idk where you got the $900 mill number
I don’t know either. Wherever I read from before was clearly wrong.

Edit: it was early estimates. I didn’t follow the film closely at all after that.

It's my favorite Star Wars film ever, so please don't generalize. :)
Good for you. Want a cookie?

Based on past hints, how would you describe a comparison to Meet the World, structurally? I’m thinking guests will board one section of the three-or-four-section rotating platform. It offers the same purpose as the Millennium Falcon carousel, in that the rotating will be disguised. Guests will exit through the same doors in the cabin through which they entered, except now the cabin has been rotated so that it faces the star destroyer hangar. While guests exit their section into the hangar, more guests are boarding the shuttle in another section of the platform that faces Batuu.

With regard to differing from Star Tours, I have two questions. First, I'm pretty sure this is the motion preshow Magic Feather alluded to here:
To expand, in the ride itself, there are no ride-walk-ride portions, however, that includes what you constitute tobe the ride. There are a few elaborate pre shows one of which involves movement, but the ride itself is consecutive.
So, my first question is: will there be enough movement to necessitate sitting down, or will we be standing?

And second, will the primary focus be a screen?

Did I hear correctly a while ago that said that the autonomous droids they were having for Galaxies edge had been cut from the budget or won’t be ready for opening?

This is kinda off topic but is the entrance to the studios still at the intersection where the gas station is on the right? Or has that changed. thanks.
