A is the part built Cantina (TSR of course)
B is a series of 5 interconnected stores
C is a covered seating area for the QSR
D are the two area restrooms (the one to the left is yet to be built)
E is the part built Marketplace area
F is the QSR

It’s going to be quite the sight!

That's beginning to take shape, and make sense too.

Having said that, can I ask a really stupid question?

Either the foundations of the rest of the land are really deep, with lots of underground levels, or the "merchandising" area is raised ....... ? I think I'm missing something. Why the massive ditches around the buildings off to the right?

Where about? I don’t think I’m seeing them.

What's the stuff to the right? One that looks like a multi storey car park next to F and the one above it that looks like a show building or storage area.
I think that’s a trick of the light? To the right of F is the corner of the Falcon show building (with a bridge over the path) and the right of D is the Alcatraz show building. A walkway will be between these and the QSR.

Thanks!

I thought they must be the ride buildings. But it really looks like there's a massive ditch between the two sides..... which is why I was confused.

The hole in the Alcatraz building, between the two main show buildings, is connected to a raised platform as that is for loading the show elements stuff on the second floor. That is not ground level. You can clearly see this from pictures taken at other angles.

Corrected with input from @marni1971 :)

What exactly is the marketplace area (E)?

So is the Cantina and the “dinner theater” Iger spoke of the same thing?

I was hoping for two table service restaurants. Reservations are going to be un-possible (worse than impossible).

Today they are for sure. But if you go back several years, Fermi (aka Thermi) had a very good reputation for basically being a grille that could happen to run games. Nvidia and AMD sat about even when it came to temperatures but when Nvidia moved to Fermi, the temps it brought surprised a lot of people. Those were interesting times, watching people try to figure out ways to cool it without going full watercooling.

amazes me how many people still go right to water. how about a case with air flow? everything new seems to be abandoning thermal dynamic rules of law. I got a nice phantek and than I cut a giant hole in the front with my grinder and affixed server intakes grill (clean finish) my CPU is on water but GPU? nah it never throttles as is.
